(UK, 1130328) Browse eventsWhilst it should be taken as read that the charity's objective is the promotion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, this specific appeal is to raise funds for the repair of the roof and spire of this well known local landmark. The 5 yearly inspection of the Church building in 2014 recommended essential work be carried out urgently, in particular to "monitor lead roofs and consider replacement before whole sale problems occur". There are regular leaks in wet weather. The PCC have decided to commit £100,000 from our reserves. The Fiends of St. Mary's have committed a further £125,000, but this still leaves us £135,000 short (even with VAT recovery) of the estimated total of £451,000.
