YTD Raised: n/aThank you for visiting the Virgin Giving page for Old Basing Scouts which is a registered Charity to support Scouting in Old Basing and surrounding villages. We run 2 x Beaver Scouts colonies, 2 x Cub Scout packs, 1x Scouts Troop providing weekly meetings for excess of 140 youngsters. Currently we are without anywhere for these youngsters to meet every week following our headquarters being flooded in 2007 and the building being condemned. Currently we have to find facilities on a weekly basis to meet, from church halls to school halls and this is obviously not ideal. We need your support to replace the original 50 year old condemned Scout HQ with a new purpose built facility for the Scouts and Guides to call their home. To bring this to reality we need to raise in excess of £250,000 so that we can start the demolition of the existing facility and replace it with a new facility to last at least the next 50 years. Your help with this would be very much appreciated and any donations that you are able to give through Virgin Giving will be very much appreciated. YTD Raised: £0.00HAB was founded in November 2011 by Marie Connor, the founder of the charity, after her disabled son was beaten up on anti-bullying week. What started as a Facebook discussion page soon turned into a charity. Now as a registered charity, we support adults & children experiencing bullying & mental health issues. We offer counselling to anyone going through mental health, bereavement, bullying issues, domestic abuse and disabilities. We pay all costs and all money raised for these grants goes directly to self-employed counsellors who work with us. We help with paperwork Advocate at meetings for young people and adults. Support work Deliver talks and activities to the public, i.e schools and workplaces.
