Lacon Childe school is a secondary school at the heart of the community in Cleobury Mortimer, South Shropshire. It is joined by three local primary schools to form The Shropshire Gateway Educational Trust. We are used to supporting various charities raising funds for their valuable work and believe shared vision, values and best practice demonstrated in education and to our local community is what makes the schools of the trust so special. Now in the current Covid 19 pandemic situation our country, school and local community finds itself in we thinks it is important to help and support each other in whatever way we can and we are overwhelmed by the acts of caring and compassion we are seeing all around us. Teachers of our design technology department have been able to produce face mask personal protection equipment which they have distributed to the social care and NHS services locally and they have been well received. So much so that we need to produce more so that the important people in our community can continue to do the amazing work they are undertaking keeping themselves safe as they do it. We need your help please to raise funds to help purchase the materials needed to make this important equipment. The school is so proud of the response of our staff giving freely of their time and the more we can produce the better. Please help us to raise funds so that this amazing work can continue, and we can support more and more carers in our local area. Thank you.
