Salford Children's Holiday Camp provides seaside holiday accommodation for up to 60 children and their carers. Meals are provided for all groups to ensure that our guests can make full use of their time on Camp. We also have two indoor games rooms, a large children's play area and lots of space for football, rounders or other games. Since the loss of Local Authority funding and support, the Management Committee has worked tirelessly to ensure that the Camp remains open for the next generation of children and young people to enjoy a visit to the seaside that they may not otherwise be able to access. Martin is raising money for 2 great causes - Cancer Support Scotland and SOFT UK - in memory of Paul and Ben.   On the 15th of September Neil Hindle ran the Bupa Great North Run. Neil has raised £660 so far and is still accepting donations for SOFT UK.  Caroline and Sean Watts ran the Bristol Half Marathon on 15 September in memory of their daughter Cerys. They are still accepting donations for SOFT UK, Jessie May Trust and Chidren's Hospice South West. Jason Tomkins is taking part in several cycle rides throughout the year to raise funds in memory of his precious Nephew Oliver. Jonathan Worth is fundraising in memory of Amelia Rose. Blood Bikes Scotland are a dedicated team of volunteer motorcyclists, who commit their time to provide a service for NHS Lothian and Borders. Using fully liveried motorbikes, we offer this unscheduled service free of charge to the NHS as an alternative to taxis or couriers as a way of ‘giving something back’. We deliver small urgent items including blood samples, donor baby milk, equipment, medication that are urgently requiring to be moved from one site to another or from a patients home in the community. By using motorbikes, we are able to move these items quicker than four wheeled vehicles which is vital as many items are time critical.
