The MASIC Foundation aims to reduce the incidence of birth injury as well as helping new mothers who may be suffering in silence from its symptoms which are too often hidden in society. These issues are crucial to the future wellbeing of women and their families. The MASIC foundation aims to help these mothers who often suffer in silence through embarrassment and the social stigma associated to their symptoms, unaware that there are many other mothers going through what they are experiencing. MASIC campaigns to influence change in healthcare policies to avoid these injuries, improve their detection and where possible improve the rate of repairs after birth, so more women are spared the indignity of anal incontinence. MASIC has a plan based on greater support for mothers, increased public awareness and better education for medical professionals. MASIC will be developing a regional structure in the UK and Ireland to promote a care pathway, educational policies and research. The MASIC Foundation receives no statutory funding and can only run with the help of our supporters. Your donation will help us to support and reduce the number of women living with bowel incontinence following childbirth.

Riding sessions take place both in the arena as well as in the adjacent woods.Where there is sufficient capacity and where the safety of our volunteers and the welfare of our ponies and horses is not put at risk, we will coach any person with a disability. Riders come from special schools and adult centres and a great many are by way of direct introductions and referrals. All riders are encouraged to set personal goals and our coaches assist them to achieve these. Seeing our riders develop core body strength, balance, self-confidence and of course their smiles is reward enough for the volunteers. Please donate to support our local charity to continue to provide, through activities with ponies and horses, therapy, achievement and enjoyment to local children and adults with disabilities.
