Sunbeams Play is a registered charity, which provides a fun, safe and caring environment for those children and young people with ASD to thrive. We understand how difficult it can be for them to engage in mainstream activities due to a variety of social needs and anxieties. At Sunbeams Play they can relax and play in a comfortable environment, alongside or with others who have similar needs. From experience and meeting the children we find they love attending as everyone is here for the same reason. They do not encounter ‘competition’, or the need to behave in a certain way, they can simply be themselves! All of our staff are fully trained and have relevant experience of working with children and young people. Training about Autism and behaviour management is kept up to date at all times, as well as first aid and other relevant courses. Sunbeams works on a 1:3 ratio, this means for every 3-children/young people there will be 1 member of staff. We can have up to 15 children/young people in any one session, your child will be invited to attend a six week introduction to the setting during the session appropriate to their age. This enables us to get to know them thoroughly before they start and also for them to get used to staff, the environment and the other children /young people. Sometimes parents and carers need support to, our Parent Support group, lets you meet other parents and carers, share ideas, tips and experiences, ask advice or simply relax in each others company. For those of you that need to talk privately we offer appointments to talk to one of our staff members who can advise on a number of issues. If we can't help we will help you find someone who can.

The Edward Bush Charitable Trust has been established in memory of Ed (Bear), who was tragically killed in a road accident on 4th June 2021. He was a kind, brave young man, with a deep passion for joining the Army. The Trust was created to honour his legacy by supporting serving members of the armed forces, veterans and their families. The Trust is currently focused on supporting the charity Veterans Coastal Retreats (https://veteranscoastalretreats.org). Its aim is to help fund the purchase of the charity's first property, providing week-long coastal retreats where veterans and their loved ones can rest, recover and rebuild. We miss Bear every day. But through the Edward Bush Charitable Trust, his legacy will continue to make a meaningful and lasting difference.

We are a registered charity that’s been long established in the heart of Paisley to provide a service to all in the community and in particular an affordable Counselling Service. This Service is provided in a bespoke counselling area and is being expanded from an adult only service to an “All-age” service to meet the needs of the whole community. This will comprise Therapeutic Play for children 5 to12 years and counselling to children and young people in addition to continuing to meet the needs of adults. We provide friendship and entertainment in a safe, warm environment with regular volunteers on hand through the free Tea and Toast/warm spaces weekly meeting and have a monthly Lunch with speaker and a monthly Film Show with lunch for all who wish to attend. Other activities take place throughout the year. We have an auditorium, halls, rooms and offices for rent. These are well maintained, varied, resourced, managed spaces. Many community organisations also use the spaces we provide from self-help groups to leisure activities such as craft, keep fit, dance, slimming clubs, Theatre shows, Concerts and Pantomimes.
