We are a nationwide charity supporting families with children under 18 years of age with various conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Cancer, Autism, e.t.c. Our principal aims are to ensure children have life saving equipment so as to enable them to remain in the family home whilst undergoing essential treatment. We also supply respite breaks for families so they can enjoy some quality time together away from a hospital environment. Most of the families have either given up work or taken time off work to be the carer for the children so as you can imagine funds in the household are very restricted, as a charity we try to make the children's lives as comfortable and as happy as possible. . Being a non government funded charity we are finding it increasingly difficult to raise enough funds and are getting more and more requests from families so we are very grateful for any help we get as at it makes such a difference to the lives of these children.

Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. The Cancer Vaccines Charitable Trust (CVCT) is committed to Curing Cancer. We work to promote, research and develop vaccines that will cure cancer. Our vision is that within the foreseeable future, through the use of cancer vaccines, the quality of cancer care will be improved, cancer will be controlled and ultimately eliminated.  Please donate to support our work to cure cancer.Cancer Vaccines Charitable Trust (CVCT) is a charity based in Warwickshire seeking to promote and support the use of vaccines in the treatment and cure of cancer. We recognise the important potential of this approach to cancer treatment but also that it is often hampered by poor funding.  CVCT is therefore, seeking to secure sufficient initial donations to enable it to work with the larger funding bodies and charities.  It will then direct these combined sums towards helping the cancer vaccine projects in CVCT’s portfolio.  These projects typically focus on vaccines being developed by small establishments with limited resources which do not have the manpower to dedicate to raising the needed financial support.  This is where CVCT helps. We are currently supporting a Phase 1 trial of cancer vaccines and evaluates four different doses of ACIT-1 for safety and for the ability to raise effective anti-cancer immune responses in patients with pancreatic and other late stage cancers. Approximately half of the patients will have pancreatic cancer and the other half will have other late stage cancers.

Our work includes: Ghana - the Human Rights Watch confirmed what we had discovered, the abuse of children and young people with Down's syndrome abandoned into psychiatric hospitals.  We want to stop the abandonment, see the establishment of community resources and the children released back into community.  PLEASE help us to improve the lives of thses children and young people Romania - we are working in partnership with other agencies to establish a safe house to prevent the trafficking of young people leaving orphanages and to continue the support of the orphanage and special needs school.  On Anne's last she spent time with a boy of about 8 yaers of age who had not spoken for 2 years.  Staff  told Anne that the boys father had died 2 years ago.  Through an interpreter Anne asked about his dad and he immediately ran to get his school bag in which he had photographs and proceeeded to tell her all about him.  Strong Voices will be holding a grief support training course with them in March 2013 Nigeria - children still lives in leprosy colonies where little has changed for decades. We hold reguar events with the young people to enable them to express their eneeds and for us to wotrk togther to make a difference.. Sometimes its easy like the 5 year old who asked for a red bouncing ball. For others it can be more complex, they want to see the eradication of malaria, child trafficking and abuse....we can only achieve this by working together across agencies and government qne empowering young people to become part of the global solution.
