Hyde Heath Infant School has an extremely supportive Parent Teacher Association (PTA) that works hard organising social events to raise considerable funds for the school. Every parent automatically becomes a member of the PTA when their child joins the school and is encouraged to take part in the many fundraising events which are extremely beneficial to the continued success of the school. The children benefit greatly from the money raised by the PTA whilst giving them the opportunity to take part in lots of fun events in the process. It’s also a great way of building friendships amongst families in the community.

Share Scotland - the support you need for the life you want! Share Scotland was established in 1984 by a group of parents. They all had children with complex learning and physical disabilities who were at a residential school, and when the time came for them to leave the only options for them were institutions like Lennox Castle and Gogarburn Hospital. They believed that their children had the right to be part of their communities, not in an institution! So these parents campaigned and fundraised and eventually set up what is known today as Share Scotland. At Share Scotland we believe that people with complex needs are are entitled to equal status in society – with the same voice, opportunities and rights as others. Our Board of Management is still made up of parents of the people we support, including those founding parents from more than 30 years ago.By donating to Share Scotland you are helping to support our vital work, ensuring that people with complex learning and physical disabilities are able to lead active and fulfilling lives. The Birks Cinema in Aberfeldy is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. Five years ago members of the community achieved their dream to bring back the magic of cinema to Highland Perthshire. After several years fund raising they were able to reopen the cinema that had closed in the 1980s.We are celebrating our anniversary with fund raising and other events including our sponsored abseil on 14th April . It's a unique opportunity to abseil from the cinema roof and our goal is to raise £6000When we started the community cinema it received hundreds of thousands of pounds from bodies like government, the big lottery fund and many others. Our plan was to get it up and running and wean ourselves off grant funds for core activities over a four year period,This has been achieved and in year five we have achieved a break even result without revenue supportLooking to the next five years we need to raise money to keep the cinema building in top conditionAll the money raised will go directly to maintenance of the cinema as our partners Wee Adventures are giving their time, expertise and equipment to run the event.Thank you for supporting our community cinema Charity No: SC360708
