Rated Ofsted outstanding, Turvey Pre-School Playgroup is proud to have been looking after the children of Turvey and surrounding villages for over forty years. We provide a caring, safe and stimulating learning environment in which children can develop and progress at their own rate with the individual support that they need. Our current premises will no longer be available to rent in the near future but we have been offered a contract to buy. Having thoroughly investigated all options, this is the most favourable way forward. To secure the future of Turvey preschool, we need to raise £90,000. Please help us save our preschool.
The main function of our PTFA team is to support the school by raising as much money as we can to enhance, enrich and improve learning experiences and facilities for the children. We also provide those 'little extras' that make school memorable, such as leavers gifts for our Year 6’s and book bags and cuddly toys to our Reception children. Our aim is to bring the school community and home closer together for our parents to be more involved in the life of their chosen school. Our PTFA only exists through the dedication of those who volunteer so we hope you feel able to help out in any way, big or small, to keep our wonderful school awash with new equipment and resources.

The Safe Strong and Free Project (ssf) believes that every child has the right to grow up safe, strong and free, and that preventing sexual assault and exploitation of children is the responbsibility of the whole community. Ssf aims to reduce the vulnerability of young children to abuse and assault by raising the awareness of parents & carers and running a series of three workshops with pre-school children (typically 4 - 5 years old). Two puppets, Callum and Shona, help to teach the children strategies they can use to help them stay safe, strong and free. The 3 subjects covered in the workshops are: bullying; staying safe around strangers when not accompanies by an adult; and staying safe around adults and older children that the child knows.
