The KNEC Community Listening Project aims to provide opportunities for to come together to support and encourage each other. Isolation is a big concern that leads to many other issues and so we aim to provide an escape from isolation for people of all ages. We have various branches to the project including: Formal 1-1 listening sessions for anyone wanting to talk something through in confidence. The Hub - this is a place to come for company, friendship, soup or a cuppa. It is open Mondays and Thursdays 11am-3pm and runs from East Calder Church Hall. Craft and Chat Club - this runs on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in East Calder Church Hall from 7pm-8.30pm. We have also run bereavement groups and parent support groups. Please feel free to enquire about these for more details. The last thing we have run is community fun days. These have gone down very well and more will be organised in the near future. As with all projects funding is a challenge. This page gives the opportunity to financially support the project helping secure it for another year. The important thing about this project is it is for everyone so please get in touch and join us. Community is important and it is good to be connected and support each other. All are welcome.

Wandsworth Young Carers Project supports children and young people aged 5-18 who are affected by the illness or disability of a family member and provide care (physical and/or emotional) to that family member. The person they care for may have a physical disability, chronic illness, mental health issues, drug or alcohol dependency or HIV/Aids.
