Hope One World is an independent charity providing educational training and support for less advantaged communities around the world. It is innovative in the way that it brings together volunteers from higher education and schools in the UK and overseas to promote educational development.
Our 50-60 cadets, from 10-18 are involved in a structured programme of camps & courses both in England & abroad including boat work, catering, marine engineering, & aviation with local, area & national competitions, as well as raising funds for their unit and taking part in Remembrance Parades.
We are now an award winning organisation, tackling social immobility, homelessness, youth unemployment and disaffection through education, training and employment opportunities within the construction and built environment industries. Since our first training academy opened its doors in 2010 in collaboration with a social landlord, college and homeless persons charity, we now have 10 academies across London’s most deprived communities. Our training academies offer a demand led training and hand on education programme, helping to plug the skills shortage in the construction sector.
Loanhead Community Learning Centre promotes educational, social welfare, recreational opportunities for families, young people, children within Loanhead and surrounding villages. The organisation also supports/maximises the role of volunteers in the work of the centre, proactively ensures marginalised groups (disabled people, people on low income, lone parent families) have priority access to the centre and its services. The centre facilitates: Parents'n'Tots sessions including mini Parental Early Education Partnership, promoting children's learning through play, providing a venue for parent/carers to build on social skills; Weight2Go sessions promoting healthy living/weight monitoring/measurement; Provides the Loanhead venue for the SureStart initiative which supports families; hosts WednesdayClub, which caters for adults with learning difficulties, promoting social skills/learning opportunities; Two senior adult social groups which promote social inclusion by providing skills development, games, lunch to senior citizens and those with mental/physical difficulties; Supports Youth Clubs that cater for children aged between 5-16yrs; Two children's dance groups, facilitates the Community Nursery, After School Club, Breakfast Club, Saturday Club, Holiday Club providing high quality play opportunities and childcare; Community garden, the most recent addition to the services, with 2 part-time project leaders who help adults/juniors volunteer in the garden

We are building a new five-storey residential home for up to 75 homeless girls and staff. It will house the girls and include offices, workshops and also a much-needed women's health clinic for the area.The building is situated in Bethany, 3 miles east of Jerusalem, on the West Bank in Palestine.
The club provides football training in Cornwall for people with physical disabilities who otherwise could not play. There is local training as well as 2 teams entering in the national league events. The club also provides equipment which allows those without their own to take part.

It helps make Portsmouth a kinder safer place by supporting young people on the streets every Friday and Saturday night from 10-3am around night-time venues in the city centre. Teams of trained Christian volunteers serve together in partnership with the Police and Council.

The charity supports neurological recovery and rehabilitation wherever it is required.
