We have a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack and a Scout Troop catering for boys and girls between 6 and 14 from Chinnor and the neighbouring villages. We have an enthusiastic and dedicated team of adult leaders who organise and run the weekly meetings of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts. They also organise such things as activities, sleepovers and camps. The overall running of the group is overseen by the Group Scout Leader (GSL). The sections are managed by the section leaders aided by assistant leaders and section helpers. We are also assisted at our meetings and activities by parents as required.

We provide hope, opportunities and care by sponsoring specific projects, currently in Kenya and Indonesia. Stars of Hope is run entirely by volunteers, and therefore, we have negligible adminstration costs. The Stars of Hope Children's Home in Ruai, Kenya is a home for 36 children from distressing circumstances, including abuse and abandonment. The Children's Home provides a home where they are clothed, fed, schooled and loved. We feel that education is very important to these children and the opportunity to attend school will have a fundamental difference in their lives. 32 of the Stars of Hope children are of school age and Stars of Hope is responsible for all the costs related to their education, including school fees, uniforms, transportation and school lunches. In addition, Stars of Hope also educates another 23 children from the local community. This year, the education budget is over £25,000 and we are constantly fundraising in order to be able to provide this life changing education for these 55 children. Sari Hati is our project in Bali, Indonesia. Sari Hati is a school for disabled young people. There are currently 25 pupils with varying degrees of disability. The school currently operates three days a week and provides a range of lessons and activities for the pupils, in addition to educating carers and parents. Sari Hati has a considerable and positive impact on the lives of these young people and offers invaluable support to their families.

Our staff will provide the service in your home or they can take the person you care for out. The service is tailored to individual needs. In addition we run a number of clubs and activities for adult carers, young carers and people with care needs. Crossroads Care East Anglia is a charity. These include gender, race, social class, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, age, mental disability, physical disability, mental illness, and physical illness as well as other forms of identity. Through the band we try to find sponsors in the UK to support African children so that they can receive a decent education. We are also the first musical charity operating in Uganda that enables a brass band to travel to other countries on the continent to inspire and promote brass music for youth. We call this project African Brass Ambassadors!
