The project provides Income Generation training for the mothers, a Montessori kindergarten for the children, health and social care for both.

JCoSS is a state funded local authority school in Barnet which educates 1300 Jewish students aged 11-18 yrs old. JCoSS is the only cross communal Jewish Secondary School in the UK. Our Pears Special Resource Provision is an integral part of JCoSS offering 50 places for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. With increasing government cuts the school no longer has the extra monies available to update technology, provide a dynamic programme of extra curricula activities, run certain GCSE/A Level courses or to provide vital support for our PSRP students.

We’re a small heritage centre on North Shields Fish Quay, with a café, shop, heritage gallery and community space, run by the community for the community. We have a small number of staff, a board of trustees, almost 200 volunteers and 450 members. Our exhibitions and events are delivered by our volunteers and members who have a passion for telling the story of North Shields and its Fish Quay and for helping others to understand and enjoy our amazing coastal area and its wildlife. Since 2015 we have become a thriving community hub. We have brought life back to the oldest surviving building on the Fish Quay and have welcomed well over 160,000 visitors through our doors. During that time we have delivered 220 community events and almost 30 exhibitions. Age Concern Twyford and District is a small local, inderpendent charity which provides daycare and associated services to the elderly of Twyford, Berkshire and surrounding area. Our small, friendly day centre serves the local community in a warm and happy atmosphere. We provide a stimulating, caring and active environment, offering companionship as well as respite care. We aim to meet all needs and are committed to treat our members with the respect they deserve. For many members the Centre plays a vital role in improving their quality of life and it is almost like having an extended family. We can take up to 25 people a day; some members come just once a week and others attend nearly every day. Our members are transported in by volunteer drivers and the Readibus. Referrals come from the Health Centre, Social Services, Home Care, hospitals, friends and families. Some members are self referrals. The Centre is open five days a week. On three of the days we offer full day care facilities with a home-cooked midday meal and members can join in a wealth of activities such as quizzes, games and sing-songs. On the other two days we have lunch clubs for the more able bodied members.
