The Cairn Terrier Relief Fund is a charity registered in the UK which rescues Cairn Terriers that have been abandoned, ill treated or neglected, or assists Cairns whose owners have become unable to look after them due to misfortune or disability. The Cairn Terrier Relief Fund is a registered charity established in 1969 by a dedicated group of breed exhibitors, which aims to assist Cairn Terriers that have been abandoned, maltreated or are in any other state of distress. CTRF also takes care of dogs whose owners can no longer care for their pet due to illness or misfortune. The Trustees make arrangements for their adoption in such conditions and to promote and encourage the better care of Cairn Terriers. Being totally voluntary the charity relies on donations and bequests and appeals for any help to continue our work. Our ultimate aim is to own and run a sanctuary, where the old, sick and less fortunate Cairns, that are virtually impossible to re-home can receive the special care they need where they can live out the rest of their days in a comfortable and loving environment. St Anthonys Home Trust supports the amazing work of St Anthonys, a Childrens and Family Care Centre in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. South Africa is still suffering the ravaging after effects of the Apartheid Era including chronic poverty and the current HIV/AIDS pandemic - an estimated 3 million AIDS orphans are currently living in South Africa. St. Anthonys cares for children from 0-18 years from a variety of different backgrounds including abuse victims, abandoned and orphaned children. St. Anthonys make these children SAFE and they work to reunite them into a FAMILY. Our philosophy is KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE WITHIN FAMILIES and the Trust aims to support St Anthonys in working to END THE POVERTY CYCLE through supporting young people in achieving Higher Education and other initiatives which aim to PRESERVE families and prevent children being removed to a residential care centre. We believe that the best place for a child is within a safe, loving family which means we aim to help families in crisis to stay together, reunite families which have broken apart, and create a loving family atmosphere within the Centre.
