Stroud Valley Scout Group (UK, 800449) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. Stroud Valley Scout Group is raising funds to build a new Scouting and Community Centre. The current scouting centre is situated in the centre of Stroud. It benefits from being on a large plot of land with ample outdoor green space and wooded areas. We want to improve that environment by creating a new scouting and community centre which will benefit not only the current users but open the centre up to a wider range of users. The current centre does not have disabled access and facilities. It has inadequate heating and insulation therefore suffers from damp and cold conditions in the winter. The buildings are unattractive, and the kitchen and toilet facilities are no longer fit for purpose. By improving these facilities with a new purpose built, modern and environmentally efficient building we can not only attract other groups to use the centre but we can also make more of the outside space and attract groups for overnight camping, weekend workshops and other community events. We need your support to help raise funds for this project. Charity No: 800449 Find out more Facebook https://www.facebook.com/StroudValleyScouts/

PTEN Research Foundation (UK, 1173589) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

The PTEN Research Foundation was launched in early 2017 to accelerate research that could lead to a therapy for PHTS (PTEN Hamartoma Tumour Syndrome). What is PHTS?PHTS is a rare condition caused by mutations in the PTEN gene which is crucial for maintaining control over cell and tissue growth. The main symptoms are an increased risk of cancer, in particular breast, thyroid, kidney and endometrial, as well as neurodevelopmental delay and an increased incidence of autism. How will we achieve our mission? There is no cure or treatment for PHTS and awareness of the condition is relatively low, presenting significant challenges to patients, families and clinicians alike. Our ambition is to build and work with the community around PHTS, engaging leaders in the fields of research and clinical care, to collaborate, and identify research projects and potential treatments that will lead to effective therapies. We fund academic and clinical research projects, and we provide support for building networks between clinicians, researchers, corporate partners and patients. MyDonate is closing (UK, 275238) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. We are an independent local rehoming cat rescue charity covering Colchester and the surrounding area. We provide temporary and permanent homes to around 50-100 cats at any one time. When rehoming our cats, we always try to ensure a good match between the new owners and the requirements of the cat and consider factors such as the location, the home environment and the personality and needs of the cat. We take in cats and kittens and provide them with a safe and warm environment, and all essential vet treatment including neutering, vaccinating and microchipping, and necessary treatment such as dental work, blood tests, and surgical procedures. We are not government funded and rely heavily on our own fundraising and the generosity of our loyal supporters. We never have a healthy cat put to sleep, preferring to give all cats a chance for a fresh start in a loving home that suits their needs. Our vet bills are our largest expense, recently taking in a cat called Betsy that had been involved in an RTA, resulting in a broken pelvis which required specialist veterinary treatment costing us around £3000. This was in addition to our total annual vets bill of £55000 and food bill of £14000.Please donate to support our cause.
