We have a thriving PSA, dedicated to establishing strong links between Home and School. Although highly successful as a fund raising body, FoR is equally concerned with activities that develop social links with in the community. We achieve these goals with fund events such as International Evenings where the wide and diverse community come along to experience each other through food and music. The annual Fun Run where we promote a healthy balance of exercise and healthy eating. We welcome involvement from everyone, so please let them know if you can help or if you have an ideas for fundraising. Also our big summer fete, Rotherfest, which the children love to perform at, boasting their self confidence and performing skills. FoR are a registered charity so we are always looking for ways to improve the school using external funding and grants. The money we raise goes to help improve the children's extra curicular activities such as school trips to amazing experiences and projects in the school such as the herb garden and raising chicks from eggs. We are also involved in the school with regular library clubs, free breakfasts and toddler stay & Play groups. The PTA has its own Facebook group page. Here you will also find information on upcoming events. FOR will also communicate to parents/carers using newsletters, posters, flyers, texts and blog.

Scripture Union Northern Ireland is an organisation aimed to help children and young people find out more about Jesus. We work with Schools, Churches and local communities providing resources, leading activities and running both residential and non-residential Christian based activity, all focused around the Bible and helping children and young people discover more about God. A major aspect of our work is our summer based activities. Summer 2015 was an incredible time of special events and activities all across the country and this year we had 41 teams with over 1300 volunteers involved. And throughout the year we count it a privilege to be part of the local school community, with SU groups, school based groups lead by pupils and teachers exploring the Christian faith. At present we have 156 Primary SU groups and 98 Post primary and 2 Special schools SU groups.
