The Community Heartbeat Trust helps communities undertake defibrillator projects taking into account the needs for the right equipment, the right support, the right adherence to liabilities and governance, community awareness and training programmes, and help with the fund raising and long term support for these projects. As the leading community defibrillator charity in the UK, we have become recognised by ambulance services, councils, community groups and sports governing bodies as the 'gold standard', having set many of the standards now being adopted by other organisations. We live, breath and are hugely passionate about community defibrillation in all its forms, and seek always to offer a holistic and objective advice to communities. We believe a defibrillator is for LIFE and not just for Christmas, and these medical devices should be available to save lives. But they are just that, a medical device, and must be treated with respect. A good project is not about just a defibrillator in the community, but one that forms part of a resilient process, addressing needs, and fully backed by Governance. www.communityheartbeat.org.uk
Your Seva is a charity inspired by the teachings of Guru Nanak that works towards eradicating poverty. By enabling people to positively contribute to society we aim to help those that are less fortunate so that together we can directly tackle poverty and provide aid to impoverished families. We believe that by providing a helping hand we can empower families that live in poverty to develop the resources necessary so that they can break the cycle of poverty. Your Seva is based on the Sikh principle of Seva: being selfless by taking responsibility and actively contributing to the betterment of humanity by effecting positive social change. Our primary focus currently is India as it is one of the most improvised countries in the world, the South Asian diaspora has a close relationship with India and many Indians hold in common the teachings of Guru Nanak and the principles of Daya (compassion/apathy). We aim to connect with the South Asain community and build on this relationship so that together we can help impoverished families in India. We aim to expand the area in which we can help by growing the charity organically and connecting with other diaspora communities to alleviate poverty in other nations. With this core principles of Daya and Seva we encourage people to share their earnings and volunteer their skills, and put them towards helping those that are less fortunate. It is our mission to help you carry out Your Seva.

The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts is an educational charity committed to helping children experience the arts in a high quality and sustained way. We provide access for young people who would otherwise grow up having had no or very limited opportunity to engage with the arts. Children who take part are drawn from both urban and rural areas of deprivation and come from a variety of backgrounds. Many have behavioural and learning difficulties. Thousands of children leave school having never set foot in an art gallery, watched a performance in a theatre or listened to an orchestra play live. Children & the Arts works to redress this balance and encourage in children a long term engagement with the arts. The arts have the power to transform children’s lives and have a proven positive impact on their development resulting in: Through our work children learn that cultural venues are welcoming, accessible and exciting places to visit

“Dean Close School is a co-educational boarding and day school providing an education from age 2+ to 18yrs. The School was established in 1886 through the generosity and philanthropic support of the school’s founders and is set in 50 acres of parkland in the centre of Cheltenham. The School provides an education for children based firmly on Christian values and visitors regularly comment on the atmosphere, saying how warm and friendly they find it. It is felt that this positive environment can be attributed directly to the Christian heart and principles of the School. Dean Close provides assistance towards the education of children of parents of limited means who would benefit from such an education. The School plans to further expand community access to its facilities and resources by widening access to the School, particularly among the wider community and by continuing to develop the School's Community Action Programme. Dean Close aims to foster the friendships of the School community, including pupils, parents, staff, governors, alumni and friends of the school - anyone for whom the school is, or has been, an important part of their lives."
