We hope that although 'Footprints' provides fun place to stay for sick and disabled children, it also raises awareness in people that our children are no different from any other children in the fact that when 'sleeping over' they can participate in all the activities enjoyed by able children. A child is a child no matter what they look like, can or cant do, they all need the same love and attention that is provided for the children at 'Footprints'
We are a small local animal rescue organisation dealing mainly with cats and dogs based in Stockport, Cheshire. Our aim is to provide all of the animals that come into our care with a secure and happy environment until the right home can be found for them. A lot of animals come to us with problems and experiences that they need to put behind them. Usually with plenty of "TLC" and in the fullness of time we overcome the problems and are able to re-home. All of our charges remain in our care until that special home is found and only after a satisfactory home check is an animal allowed to leave us. There is no time limit on their stay with us, during which time they receive any veterinary treatment that they require, including vaccinations and neutering, in order that they leave us in perfect health. No animal is put to sleep unless on the advise of our veterinary surgeon that there is nothing further can be done to help them. We rely totally on public support to cover the food and vet bills for the animals in our care, carrying out various fund raising events every year to assist with our work. Our Motto; "Their Lives Are In Our Hands - They Trust In Us"
