Ninety Plus Ministries (UK, 1141703) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

90+is a Sports Ministry that exists to see people transformed through knowing Jesus Christ. We support the Local church across the Uk to use sport as a tool to share the Gospel. Through discipleship, events and outreach opportunities we are helping the church use what is an international language in sport for Gospel purposes. For some sport is an identity a culture and a lifestyle. However the church can use this as a tool to reach out to the sports community to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Sport can also be a great tool to 'do life' with one another and so 90+ helps to encourage the use of sport as a missional lifestyle. 90+ also runs a discipleship programme for christian athletes. The 2 month academy programme trains, equips and teaches these athletes about using their platform as pro's for Gods glory. Following the 2months, 90+ aims to send out these sports men into clubs and teams as chaplains. More information on the work of 90+ can be found at www.ninetyplusministries.com Giving page for James Jaggard at 90+ ministries

SAMs (UK, SC043373) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. SAMs is a unique Charity based in Glasgow. We aim to provide families who have children with special needs the opportunity to come along to our organised Clubs where the children can interact with others, play games and have fun while the parents relax and take time out. Every year we fundraise, apply for grants and do what we can to raise money to be able to take the group away on holiday to Scarborough for the week. During this time we organise everything from accommodation, transport, activities for the day/evening and much much more. This gives the children a great experience of an organised, fun-filled holiday that they, and their parents, find hard to enjoy under normal circumstances. Parents are given respite from the day-to-day care of their child(ren) and manage to be part of the holiday, taking part or taking time out as they see fit, knowing that their child(ren) are in the best of care.

The Dawn Sailing Barge Trust Limited (UK, 1058939) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

The Dawn Trust Charity was set up with the aid of the Lottery Heritage fund and many generous donations to rebuild the historic Thames “stackie” Sailing Barge Dawn to a sea going condition, maintain and exhibit her for the benefit of the nation and make her available for educational sailing trips and instruction in seamanship for the purpose of instruction of young persons in the principles of discipline, loyalty and good citizenship. SB Dawn is registered as a Dunkirk Little Ship and was damaged in Dover Harbour while taking part in Operation Dynamo. Dawn is also on the National Historic Ships Register. The hard work of rebuilding her to an operational condition is now completed and following a successful first season based at West Mersea in Essex, funding is now required for the ongoing programme of essential maintenance, accommodation improvements, heating, facilities upgrades, restoration and improvement of the original 100 year old refitted equipment. Hopefully with the help of our volunteers and donators, much of this work will be ready for next years sailing season. The aim for next year is to be fully funded and ready for a programme of events such as all the famous Thames Barge Matches where young persons can train in teams for a race crew in a unique type of vessel. Other events planned are involved with Mersea Cadet Week, Mersea and other Regattas around the East Coast, various sailing trips visiting the creeks and old barge quays such as in Bradwell where the Dawn Trust is planning to rebuild the barge quay, again with donation and Lottery funding. We even have plans as a one off to use Essex Wildlife Trust's Abbotts Hall Farm jetty for loading horse feed and hay stacked on deck to deliver for the local supplier to the Household Cavalry in London, a job the Dawn was originally built for in 1897. Let’s just hope we don’t also have to bring back the manure!
