Vale Of Glamorgan Festival Limited (UK, 519044) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Unique in the UK, the Vale of Glamorgan Festival presents an annual programme of classical music featuring works by living composers only which sets it apart from other festivals.  The festival brings to Wales an international roster of great artists, ensembles and composers presenting a programme of concerts, talks and workshops where the composers themselves rub shoulders with audiences and share their passion for the best of new music. Over a ten-day period, the 2014 Festival will feature artists from Belgium, Denmark, Ireland and the UK including choirs, orchestras and smaller chamber groups in a range of beautiful historic buildings and also state-of –the art concert halls.  Composers from the performers’ home countries will feature as well as extended profiles of the work of the late Sir John Tavener and Tarik O'Regan.   Keeping music alive, the festival is committed to directly supporting composers and commissions new work each year which will premiere during the festival – in 2014 this includes a new work by Gabriel Jackson "Zero Point Reflection" which will be premiered by Juice Vocal Ensemble.  We are able to present our ambitious programme thanks to generous funding from the Arts Council of Wales and Vale of Glamorgan Council whose support amounts to 56% of the overall cost of the festival.  It is our job to raise the remaining 44% from trusts and foundations, international organisations, ticket sales and donations. With a target of £14,000 this year to raise from individual supporters, please consider supporting the 2014 festival.  You can support the costs of a new commission (see Zero Point Reflection) or become a Festival Friend by clicking on the links on the left of the page, or alternatively if your prefer make a one-off or regular payment by clicking "Make a Donation" button to the right!  Every single penny helps us in our work. Thank you for your support! For full details of the 2014 Festival please visit our website:  www.valeofglamorganfestival.org.uk

This then leads us to seek to live out our faith by following the way Jesus lived, and to share this good news with those around us. We call this our 3+3+3 Vision. The 3+3+3 Vision: 1) 3% of our local community knowing Jesus in a Bible-faithful fellowship. 2) Support or plant 3 churches in the local area to become Gospel-effective churches. 3) Send out 3 workers into the wider work of the Gospel.

Third Sector Services (UK, 1119310) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Third Sector Services is the umbrella charity that runs community transport schemes in Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Gloucester. We are also one of the key partners running Volunteering Gloucestershire, the county-wide service that helps would-be volunteers find placements with charities and voluntary groups. Lifeline for older and disabled people The affordable door-to-door transport service run by us is open to older people and those with mobility issues. Without our help many of our vulnerable passengers would not be able to live independent lives in their own homes and would become socially isolated and lonely. For some a lack of transport may mean they would have to give up their own homes and move into residential accommodation. With the help of our highly-experienced team of paid and volunteer drivers our passengers can get out and about, attend vital medical appointments, visit friends and pop to the shops. Our service provides peace of mind for friends and relatives of elderly and disabled family members who use our service - particularly those who live outside Gloucestershire and cannot be on standby to help with transport themselves. A donation of just £5 will help us to subsidise a journey for a lonely older person. Donating £40 will cover the cost of training and supporting a new volunteer driver. Keeping volunteering alive in Gloucestershire Thanks to our partnership work at Volunteering Gloucestershire we help more than 1,000 would-be volunteers find fulfilling volunteer roles each year. Feeling valued for the contribution they make can often have a dramatic and positive effect on the lives of volunteers, opening up new possibilities for learning, career development and social interaction.  A donation of just £5 would help support our outreach work with a start-up charity or community group. Donating £25 would go towards helping to cover the cost of an information stand designed to raise awareness of volunteering in the community.

Welcome to our homepage. We are a happy and faithful congregation, meeting regularly in our lovely church, raised in 1819 on the same site where a church was first established in the 12th Century. The name Kintore is thought to come from the Gaelic, Ceann-an-torr, where "Ceann" means the head, and "Torr" a round hill, which many locals believe it to refer to Tuach Hill, the place of a battle in the 9th century in which the locals helped King Kenneth II to victory over invading Danes.

Together we estimate that this benefitted 2.9 million men, women and children.
