We are Egerton Preschool, a much loved and high quality child care and educational charity in the tranquil Kent countryside. For twenty years we have rented space in the Millenium Village Hall in the wonderful community of Egerton, creating a safe and stimulating environment where children have embraced learning and established the skills they need to progress to primary school. However, all our hard work is now at risk. The preschool needs to grow to survive and in order to do that we need a dedicated building. Luckily we have a very supportive community and a site has been agreed for a new building within the boundaries of Egerton Primary School. This is very exciting as we will be able to increase our hours, offer additional services such as hot lunches and provide a joined up approach for families with siblings in the primary school. Yippee! The plans for our new building look fantastic; now we need to raise £200,000 to see our dream become a reality. We are actively applying for grants and funds to meet this target but we desperately need your help too. You can donate anything, big or small, sponsor one of our fundraising events or offer professional services. Our preschool is a crucial service to many young families in rural Egerton, let's make sure we keep it! The City of Plymouth Children Fund was set up in 1961 with the aim to work with less advantaged children, particularly those who have suffered hardship or differculties and offer them a free of charge holiday. In addition we provide halloween and Christmas parties as well as day trips when funds permit. The Holiday allows the children a chance to have a week away packed with fun, new experiences and a chance to form friendships. For some it is the first chance to gain some independence and for others the oppotunity to have a week of being just a child without the responsablities they may have at home. The charity is run purely by volunteers so your donation will 100% go to the children. If you want to know more about us visit our website www.cpcf.org.uk or email our fundraising co-ordinator [email protected] Whatever you can donate large or small, it WILL make a difference to a child in the Plymouth area which is just waiting for this chance, so Thank You from the bottoms of our hearts.
