YTD Raised: £0.00

Welcome to the LPS UK Online Donation Service powered by Virgin Money Giving About Us We are a UK based and registered charity and we are delighted to bring this new service to both those particpating and donating to our fundraising events. We have set ourselves a three-year objective to raise funds of £45,000 and we wanted to make it as easy as possible for people to donate to our causes. Where will the money raised from our events go to? This is a frequently asked question. 75% of proceeds will be allocated directly by our Samaj (Community) to a clinical care facility for those who are less fortunate than us in the SNV district of Gujarat in India. This is where the members of the Leuva Patidar Samaj originate. We have done a fair amount of research on how to best deploy the monies raised and we have decided to buy medical equipment for charitable hospitals in Bardoli and Navsari as required by them at the time when we make the donation in late 2013 / early 2014. Currently for certain types of medical emergencies the locals from these districts need to travel to Surat or beyond and for many this is not affordable or sometimes not feasible. The remaining 25% wiill be passed onto other local UK chairties as decided by our regions.

YTD Raised: £0.00

Thank you for visiting our United Learning's profile page on MyDonate. We are a group of schools which aims to provide excellent education to children and young people across the country. We seek to improve the life chances of all the children and young people we serve and make it our mission to bring out 'the best in everyone' – students, staff, parents and the wider community. Uniquely, our Group includes significant numbers of schools in both the public and the private sectors, working together for mutual benefit.  We provide a broad education, which prepares young people to progress in learning and to make a success of their lives. We focus sharply on the evidence of what makes it more likely that young people will progress and succeed, apply that to our practice and continue to learn and develop our schools. We make it a priority to provide teachers with excellent professional support and development, so that every child receives an excellent experience.Through being a group, we can offer more to both staff and young people than any single school could offer alone. The growing range of outstanding group-wide activities that we can provide will mean that more young people will have truly exceptional and inspiring experiences. Already, we believe that our Group contains the most developed relationships and practical interaction between independent and state schools in the country, creating benefits for all the schools involved.  Charity No: 1016538

The Men's 10k needs you! (and £1 from you and 19 of your friends) The 2013 Men's 10k is under threat!  Our charity has no government funding this year and unless we manage to raise tens of thousands of pounds there will be no Men’s 10k in 2013. The Men’s 10k team is applying for grants and looking at every available sponsorship opportunity. But as we know our biggest and best resource is our wonderful men, supporters and volunteers! If you and every other person who’s ever been a part of our great event raised just £20 then we’ve worked out that the Men's 10k would live to run another year! As well as giving you and your family and friends a great day out, the Men's 10k has a more serious side and that’s to engage men in Scotland in healthy physical activity and to promote health and wellbeing all year round. We want to change the scary statistic that the life expectancy of a man in Scotland is the lowest in Europe and 3 years less than in England and Wales. Did you know that each year around 40 per cent of the men taking part have NEVER entered a running event before?  Our aim is that by taking part in the Men's 10k, they get that kick start they need to start living a healthier life and in the 6 years that we’ve been hosting the Men’s 10k, we’ve had some fantastic, positive feedback.. "Me and my brother are fat.  We don’t like being fat. After the 10k we aim to be less fat." "I have ran this race three times before as I suffer from mental illness and running & exercise makes me feel better in myself. Its great to see all the guys getting out there and enjoying their run." "At 49 after a regular check up my GP told me if I didn’t start exercising, I’d probably be on a shed load of tablets in a few years time!! I thought this is the last chance saloon." So guys, please help us! Please click here to go to our fundraising event and let all your friends know! We’ve got until 31 October to find the money to make the 2013 Men’s 10k happen. we’re relying on (and extremely grateful to) you!
