Brighton Dome And Festival Ltd (UK, 249748) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival (BDBF) registered charity no. 249748, operates as a unified, year-round creative hub for artists and audiences. Most children and young people in the wider Brighton & Hove area will sing or dance, learn or create at Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival whilst growing up. Others come from elsewhere in the country. Their parents and grandparents share their experiences of fun, achievement and happiness. The Brighton & Hove Music and Arts service also became part of the organisation in July 2017 (previously run by local authority) and provides music and arts education and performance opportunities for over 4,000 young people each week, working with all local schools. BDBF holds 650 events of all art forms with an annual audience reach of over 660,000. Brighton Festival is an annual celebration of music, theatre, dance, circus, art, film, literature, debate, outdoor and family events - taking place in venues both familiar and unusual across Brighton & Hove for three weeks every May. Established in 1967, Brighton Festival has become one of the city's most enduring symbols of inventiveness and celebration over the past half century. Renowned for its pioneering spirit and experimental reputation, Brighton Festival’s inaugural programme controversially included the first ever exhibition of Concrete Poetry in the UK, alongside performances by Laurence Olivier, Anthony Hopkins and Yehudi Menuhin. Now one of Europe’s leading arts festivals, Brighton Festival is known for its ambitious and daring programme that aims to make the most of the city’s distinctive cultural atmosphere, drawing some of the most innovative artists and companies (and adventurous audiences) from the UK and around the world.

Friends of Oxenhope School (UK, 1162507) Browse events

YTD Raised: n/a

The role of Friends is to bring together parents, carers, teachers and children for social events to help build the community within the school. Most of these events aim to raise money to provide additional resources for the school that enhances the children’s learning experience. We aim to offer more than just fundraising; we want our events to give our children and parents a good time and a chance to enjoy themselves. We are extremely conscious of the ethos and morals of our school and community, and we try very hard when organising and planning events to respect this. Every penny that Friends raise is spent directly on resources and experiences for the children, which with ever decreasing funding and budgets for schools is a great thing!
