The Society for the Welfare of Horses and Ponies has been run as a horse hospital for more than 35 years, and has taken in more than 1,500 sick, injured or abused equines and nursed them back to health. There is usually between 30 and 40 horses and ponies in care at the horse hospital at any one time and no animal ever leaves the Charity's ownership. When fully recovered they are not sold, but enter our loan scheme and are found homes matched to their age, fitness and capabilities. Loan homes are checked regularly and we now own 300 equines ranging from former racehorses to Shires and Shetland ponies.

THE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF NEPALESE CHILDREN An independent Charity supporting the Education of Children in Nepal. The Charity was established because of the personal experiences of its founder, Lisa Whitehouse-Foskett, during her visits to Nepal and seeing first hand the desires of the children for learning. The Charity aims to provide not only improved school buildings, teaching materials and sports equipment but also, to be able to provide grants and scholarships to enable students to continue their education. The Charity's first project is the Budhha Primary School, located in a remote mountain village called Vittakhaka, east Nepal, where 52 pupils aged between 5 and 12years, are being assisted with their education. Every pound raised will help enormously, for example £1 will buy 10 text books and £15 a school uniform. Your money really does make a huge difference. Watch our short film on YouTube by typing in: CFENC UK Charity The film highlights the work we are doing in Nepal and is typical of the many schools & children that require help. From ourselves and the children, Dhanibat. (Thank You).

Founded in 1732, The Portsmouth Grammar School is a co-educational day school that currently has almost 1600 pupils aged between 2½ and 18. We are very much a family school, and the support and challenges encountered by our pupils are designed to ensure every individual member of the school community is happy and successful, in that order. The school seeks to provide excellence in all areas of school life, encouraging pupils to think not only about where they will be at 18 but where they aspire to be at 25. As the oldest school in the city we honour the legacy of our Founder and former Mayor of Portsmouth, Dr William Smith, whilst adapting our values for the twenty first century. Our facilities include a brand new multi-million pound sixth form centre, a state-of-the-art science centre that opened in 2010, a music school, a modern dining and theatre complex, a fully refurbished library and all-weather hockey pitches at our Hilsea playing fields.
