Help to build Kirima Parents Primary School in south west Uganda and transform childrens lives in this poor and remote area. The school started with 6 pupils in 1994 and now has 315 children most of them boarding. The school buildings are due to be demolished to make way for a much needed new tarmac road. We are taking this opportunity to upgrade the school facilities and increase its capacity to 400 children. We have launched an appeal for £150,000 to build new classrooms, a hall and dormitories. By the end of May 2011 we had raised £60,000. Seventeen supporters will be attempting the Humber Bridge half marathon (organised by the Rotary Club of Hull) on June 26th 2011 in a bid to raise another substantial sum towards our target. They include employees of John Good and Sons Ltd and Andrew Jackson Solicitors as well as members of St Lukes Church, Willerby. Other friends are travelling from as far as London.
