Harrogate Club, founded in 1877 hosted county cricket until 2003. Cricket icons such as W.G.Grace, Ian Botham, Viv Richards and Darren Gough played here. Tragically the historic pavilion burnt down and GBP 500,000 needs to be raised to replace it. Efforts start with a sponsored walk along the Dalesway.

Girlguiding remains a current, popular activity for girls and is thriving in Welwyn Garden City.Guessens with over 200 girls aged 5-16 meeting in the Guide Hut every week. We are trying to raise as much as possible for a new hut to enable Girlguiding to thrive in the area for another 100 years.
It has built and runs a Hospital, a dental unit, an Orphanage, an Under-5 Nutrition programme in Mtunthama, Malawi. It also supports primary and secondary schools and a kindergarden. It operates mobile clinics in the bush, health education programmes and HIV/AIDS testing and counselling services.

Shalford Infant School PTA or PiP (parents in partnership) work very hard to raise much needed funds for their school and local charities. Events are organised throughout the year. Our latest event involves the Dads (of all shapes and sizes!) cycling from Brighton to Shalford for a local charity.
Ealing Street Pastors are volunteers from local churches who walk the streets ofActon, Ealing and Southall late on Friday and regular Saturday nights caring,listening and helping all those we meet. We make our local community a safer and better place to live. Our main role is to make ourselves available to care, listen, support and help ALLpeople on the street, particularly the young and vulnerable. We help rough sleepers to link to support organisations, we pick up glass bottles to avoid their use as weapons, we helpthose who are sick, lost, drunk or in need and give our time to anyone who would like a positive and encouraging conversation.We do this because we believe that all people are worth it. We live in the Borough of Ealing and we want our streets to be safe and to live in peace.
