Whilst offering support and 1:1 counselling to the client, we also provide a recovery activity day care programme that clients are able to access giving structure to their day and aiding recovery. “My drinking was so out of control that I was not safe to be around my children. I was frequently in and out of hospital having attempted suicide whilst drunk. The most scary thing was that I was in total denial of how bad things had got and how it was affecting the children. Without ADAS I would be dead, the help and support they gave to me and my family was what turned my life around. I have been sober for over two years and my children received support from Elise (child therapist) to be able to deal with the psychological damage my drinking behaviour caused. I now get involved in supporting other alcoholics as I have first hand experience of the dreadful chaos it causes in a family. I am just grateful to be alive and that my children came through the nightmare (Client, September 2013).  www.adasuk.org

It is exciting to realise that God not only has plans for us, but plans for the world in which we live.  As we come together we can discover something more of how God can use us to make a difference, even if only in a small way to this world in which we live.
