Our non-for-profit independent cinema has been an enduring presence within Chichester for over 40 years; we are a wonderful provider of independent, world cinema, but the cinema is also a platform for our charitable work. Our charitable aims include: *Improving health & well-being, and building stronger local community links by supporting vulnerable people such as the elderly, disabled and those unable to access mainstream cinemas, through our community support and study programmes. We work with local charities who support adults with learning difficulties with day-care and supported living, and children with additional needs and disabilities. We also work with a Women's Centre, and a local hotel supporting newly arrived asylum seeking families. *Supporting young people in education, through a curriculum outreach and education programme *Supporting and providing social entertainment for young adults in an inclusive and safe environment through a monthly Film Club screening of a film classic with a slice of pizza OUR MISSION To programme and deliver the widest range of performance events and films from around the world in a welcoming and inclusive way, that brings the people together, encouraging debate and helps the community to see and understand the world through different eyes. In doing so, we broaden the appeal and appreciation of independent cinema which is central to cultural life in Chichester and beyond.

Adoption Focus is a registered voluntary adoption agency. We help people become adopters to children who need new families. This is often because of physical abuse and neglect. The children may have experienced domestic violence and witnessed drug use and alcohol abuse. To keep them safe, and to give them the opportunity of loving, secure and permanent family life, they need adopters who will give them back their childhood. To be able to do this, the adopters need professional support and preparation. Adoption Focus provides this. We have social workers based in offices in the Midlands, Oxfordshire and Staffordhsire. We place children from all over the UK. We need to fundraise to support our work with adopters and their children. We have social workers who will support adoptive parents in helping their children during the times when their difficult early life experiences catch up with them. We help the children to make sense of the reasons why they were adopted. Our work with adoptive families cannot be time-limited. Any money raised is used to support our adopters and their children.
