The River Reeves Foundation has the ambition to help young people realise their dreams as actors, writers, artists, directors and musicians through grants, donations and other payments. We aim to provide  financial support that helps passionate, talented young people, many from disadvantaged backgrounds across Warrington dare to dream about their futures within the arts.Arriva NW will be providing a double decker bus that we’ll be converting into our first Riv’s Music Bus complete with recording studio and music practice space to be used as a resource to promote music tuition and performance across both primary and secondary schools in Warrington. The Foundation will also be supporting a Warrington Schools' collaborative project called Future in Mind.Future in Mind is a secondary schools’ project that ensures all Warrington schools are able to do the very best in looking after the emotional wellbeing of everyone. Specialist staff will work with those in our communities who might be struggling with bereavement, self-harm issues and those more vulnerable to suicide because of circumstances beyond their control. River was born on 14th December 1996. His mum, Miranda Reeves brought him his first guitar at the age of 6.Over the next 13 years he never really ever put it down!River moved from Penzance, Cornwall to Warrington in 2004 excelling in acting and music both at Bridgewater High School, Warrington and with various drama groups and bands.River studied music and drama at Priestley College, securing a place at The Arden School of Theatre, Manchester College in 2015.The River Reeves Foundation as River would have wanted, has big ambitions. River along with his bandmates and manager in Viola Beach were destined for the top before their journey was cut tragically short in Sweden last year.We want River’s journey to continue so that everything River and his mates achieved in their short but wonderful lives can live on in those that the River Reeves Foundation can support over the coming years. Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.KAPSA is the Kalkan Association for the Protection of Street Animals. Kalkan is a town on the Turkish Mediterranean Coast, and like most Turkish towns Kalkan has a large number of street animals - many of which have been abandoned. They live outdoors in all weathers, scavenge for food and sleep on the streets.Kapsa was set up to care for sick, injured and abandoned street animals – with the help of a local vet and network of dedicated volunteers living in and around the town. Kapsa has introduced a neutering programme – extended to the local villages – to prevent the birth of unwanted kittens and puppies. They also run an education scheme – going into schools and teaching children the importance of respecting animals. They operate a winter feeding programme – buying and distributing food for the animals in the winter months, and helping to find animals forever homes wherever possible. In summary, Kapsa aims to prevent pain, suffering, fear, hunger and disease within the street animal community. Kapsa’s vision is a Kalkan where street animals live healthy, happy lives in harmony with their human neighbours.  Please donate to support our cause.Kapsa UK is a UK-based charity run by volunteers, whose main focus is to raise funds through a wide range of activities and initiatives. The money you donate will be used in Kalkan for the following: *  To prevent the birth of unwanted animals by neutering/spaying (TNR - Trap, Neuter and Return). Neutered animals are also tagged, registered, and vaccinated against fatal diseases. *  To provide appropriate veterinary care and medicines for sick and injured animals *  To feed the street animals in winter once the tourist season has ended through its winter feeding programme *  To find suitable homes for animals wherever possible *  To raise the public's awareness of its responsibility towards all animals in society This video on the link below describes our work, our challenges and our vision. For further information, visit the Friends of Kapsa Facebook page, or visit our website on the link below.   Charity No: 1169281 Find out more Website Please click here to visit our website YouTube https://youtu.be/73Jkfmu_vOQ
