A Place Called Here (UK, SC054556) Browse events

YTD Raised: £7,101.39

A Place Called Here is a peer-led charity offering free, compassionate support to people affected by suicide and traumatic loss. Born from lived experience, the charity exists to ensure that no one has to grieve alone or feel isolated in their pain. We provide safe, non-judgemental peer support spaces where people can share their experiences, feel understood, and find connection with others who truly get it. Suicide bereavement can be overwhelming and lonely, and our support helps people feel less alone, more supported, and more able to cope. Alongside peer support, we offer gentle wellbeing activities such as mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, sound baths, and Reiki. These sessions help calm the nervous system, ease emotional distress, and support healing during grief and trauma. Our services are free and open to anyone affected by suicide, regardless of background or circumstances. By offering early, compassionate support, we help reduce crisis, improve mental wellbeing, and create spaces of hope, care, and connection. Every donation helps us keep our support free, accessible, and rooted in compassion for those who need it most. Anton And Natalie A Place Called Here.

The Friends Of The Spafford Children's Center Of Jerusalem (UK, 802351) Browse events

YTD Raised: £7,080.00

FSCC raises money for the advancement of the charitable work carried out at the Spafford Childrens Center of Jerusalem. The Spafford Children’s Center provides healthcare for some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. The Center was founded nearly 100 years ago by an American, Bertha Spafford Vester, and is still supported today by her descendants. Based on humanitarian values, the Center gives help to those in need regardless of race, religion or cultural background. Lack of progress towards peace in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian territories aggravates the stress and trauma felt by families of the region. Innocent children, caught up in the conflict, experience violence and discrimination, as well as isolation from friends and family because of Israel’s Separation Wall and imposed travel restrictions between East Jerusalem and the West Bank. The children we care for are the link to a future where we hope for change, peace and opportunity for all. They deserve our best efforts on their behalf, which is why we have designed a unique holistic approach to child health by involving our medical, psychological, social work and educational practitioners in the diagnosis of each child’s health and emotional problems. The current situation with high unemployment and a depressed economy means that many families in need cannot afford even our small fees for treatment – we need your support to help fund a child or his/her mother through treatment. Thank you for your support!
