(UK, 1165966) The NEWway Project is an initiative by local churches in Newham to respond to homelessness in our local community. Each winter our emergency night shelter provides both immediate shelter for homeless men and women and assistance in securing more permanent longer-term accommodation. Our night shelter operates for four months of the year and over that time, approximately 100 guests are welcomed from the local area without discrimination or favour.

Our membership is made up of people living in the area who want to get involved in improving their community. Nether Lochaber comprises small villages and crofting townships on the eastern side of Loch Linnhe on the west coast of Scotland, stretching from the Ballachulish Bridge over the mouth of Loch Leven to just south of Fort William. The association is a registered charity (SCIO) comprising a small board of volunteer trustees plus members who are mostly from the local area. We are working to improve the local facilities and services for the people who live here and for those who visit. We do this by: creating new facilities, and improving existing ones, to support the provision of additional services. organising or supporting community social events. taking care of our historic and natural surroundings.
