The Vale of Berkeley Railway aims to reopen the Sharpness branch line, in Gloucestershire, as a working heritage railway museum, initially with heritage trains operating between Sharpness and Berkeley. We have established an impressive engineering and restoration facility in Sharpness, besides the docks and are in the process of clearing a large area of Network Rail land that we plan to use as a base of operations.    We hope to start construction work on the first phase of this heritage railway project, involving restoring the platforms at Newtown and Berkeley Stations and construction an engine shed as a base of operations at Oldminster sidings, Sharpness and need to raise sufficient funds, through donations, funding schemes and external grant applications which are in progress.Please help us to raise sufficient funds to start construction of this exciting project by donating to this cause or by joining one of our funding schemes under "support us" section of the website.
