The Friends of Salhouse Church has as its main objective the preservation and enhancement of our beautiful fifteenth century church, All Saints, in Salhouse, Norfolk. This church is a priceless asset to the whole community, which it has served for over six hundred years, and we want to ensure that it lasts another six hundred (at least!) Started only in July 2011, the Friends have already chalked up two major successes. In December 2011 we laid on a water supply, thanks to a local farmer who kindly let us tap into his bore hole. Then in April 2012, we worked with the diocesan WiSpire team to get a broadband transmitter installed on the church tower, giving us an internet hot-spot within the church (with an eye to on-line broadcasts). Our current aim is to help raise funds towards the planned extension to the church. This will provide a kitchen and toilets - facilities which were somehow overlooked when the church was first built. Once we have these, the church will be able to host concerts, hold workshops and generally serve the local community. See our website for details of our SINGATHON on September 29-30

Christ Church was established by Henry VIII in 1546. It is a unique joint foundation of a college in the University of Oxford and the cathedral of the diocese. Christ Church also has a designated art gallery, housing one of the most important private collections of Old Master paintings and drawings in Britain. It was open to the public since 1767 which makes it one of the first art collections in the country that offered free access to all interested art lovers. Our aim has been to preserve and display the collection for future generations. Among the works are nine fragments of a large panel depicting the lives of the hermits in the desert. These paintings are now in need of extensive conservation treatment. In order to be able to carry this out we have launched a fundraising campaign to SAVE THE HERMITS. We began in February 2012 as a small group of friends who live in the Staffordshire and Derbyshire area. We had all been volunteers for a large animal charity in Ashbourne. We were aware that there were a number of local animal organisations in the area, who were, due to todays economic climate, struggling to stay afloat. We therefore decided to start our charity to help these organisations by paying vets bills, food bills etc. Please help us to help the animals.
Morning Star Children's Charity is a UK Registered Charity which was started in 1990 by Harold and Barbara Blake following their service in Nepal with the Baptist Missionary Society. The charity started a programme for the welfare of destitute, homeless and helpless children in Nepal and runs a children's home in Kathmandu, Nepal called Morning Star Children's Home. Today the home provides a loving, caring and Christian family home for 52 children which were ether abandoned by their parents, or orphaned through sickness or the long running Mouist war in Nepal. The children living in the home are provided with food, shelter, clothes, medical care and education. The house parents are Bishnu and Muna Parajul, run the home and give the necessary love and care to help the children overcome their physical and mental traunas of their previous lives. "From the very beginning our mission has been for the children to grow up knowing the love of God and Jesus Christ and for the children to be truly joined together in Christian love." We invite you to be a part in our vision. Morning Star Children's Chairy needs your prayer and financial support. Come and be blessed by sharing your love with these destitute children. To support one child for one month costs as little as £20. It is a small price to pay for a child’s future, their needs are great. Please help us now with what you can afford.

Every Sunday, we meet for worship and every Wednesday there is a communion service. Our website gives details. Our services are bilingual, but we provide service books in both Welsh and English. Outside of our formal worship, we run Messy Church that appeals particularly (but not exclusively) to children and young people. We are actively associated with the local College and schools and run regular meetings for our Youth Group. Every month, we hold our Fellowship Group with a varied programme of speakers and activities. In 2011, it cost us £600 each week to maintain our ministry and building. Thank you for any help you can give.
Behind the Concept The 2011 riots. Gang culture. Knife crime. London is one the most celebrated and visited cities in the world yet it’s not difficult to find negative perceptions of our young people. Unfortunately, the numerous challenges facing young Londoners have been met by funding cuts in the education sector and a planned narrowing of the curriculum. In this context, schools are faced with the harsh realities of preparing pupils for an increasingly competitive employment market whilst trying to create and develop ambitions and alter perceptions of what young people can achieve. The YouthLink Network was established to help schools meet these challenges head on by bringing communities together. We believe that by providing funding to expand education and by allowing young people the opportunities to meet would be mentors and inspiring speakers they can begin to create networks, raise their aspirations and most importantly, gain the confidence to realise their ambitions. Mission Our mission is to ensure that young people are able to experience the world beyond the classroom as an essential part of their learning and personal development, whatever their age, ability or circumstances. What We Do Launched in 2012, The YouthLink Network support out-of-classroom learning programmes by supplying London’s primary schools with:
