The number of people using our services has more than tripled in the last two years due to the impact of recession and welfare reforms. We support over 4000 local people and 120 people per day. We provide hot food, showers, clothing, laundry, welfare advice & advocacy, mental and physical health care, education, training & volunteering opportunities and link work for accommodation, rehab & detox. We partner with over thirty other local organisations to provide each of our valuable members (service users) with the best possible path of opportunity to see their lives restored. Last year we supported 92 off the local streets into appropriate accommodation and reconnection programmes, provided 17,000 meals and 3500 advice and advocacy sessions for those most vulnerable and marginalised in our community. Every piece of work we do is in partnership with others. We enable people to make connections around shared values, then help turn visions and ideas into positive action. Working from grassroots to government, we catalyse initiatives, broker partnerships, and co-host a range of dialogue, learning and creative events. In this way, T4P has - since founding in 2002, and launching publicly in 2003 - co-developed 180+ projects and events, including… the Leeds Active Citizens community leadership programme; the Jewish-Muslim dialogue project, including a joint trip to Palestine and Israel; the 'Leeds Poverty Challenge'; the Planet Leeds street festivals and events; the ‘In One City’ programme of films; the Leeds Summat gatherings; city-wide arts events and exhibitions on big issues; a range of cross-community development and dialogue programmes; the Leeds to London WALKTALK cross-community dialogue initiative; schools work; and more.
