Clubs for Young People (CYP) has been in the forefront of youth work since its formation in 1928. The organisation is now more than ever committed to providing young people with the necessary opportunities, support, skills & positive role models to enable them to become healthy and confident adults.
The Energy for Children Charitable Trust was established to reach into the heart of local communities to really make a difference to local children and young people who are disadvantaged. Every penny raised goes directly to helping improve the lives of local children and young people.
Friend to Friend is a registered charity in rural South Kirklees, West Yorkshire. Our aim is to work with older people to enable them to improve their quality of life, combat loneliness and reduce isolation. We do this by providing a range of stimulating volunteer led activities in accessible local venues. This includes Armchair Exercise, ‘Mobility Aid Friendly’ Walking Groups, Lunches, a Men’s Group, Activity Groups and Monthly Get-Togethers. All our members receive a regular newsletter. The result? - or so our members tell us, is; a less lonely, happier, healthier older age.
OYA, a registered charity founded in London in 2000, is a place where disadvantaged young people hailing from Africa and the Caribbean develop a thirst for academic excellence, confidence in their cultural heritage, personal life goals and a commitment to building a better society.
The Prison Phoenix Trust brings hope and healing to prisoners with the disciplines of yoga and meditation, based on silence and the breath. The Trust trains and supports qualified yoga teachers for work in prisons - in substance misuse, anger management and education programmes. Prisoners are invited to practise daily in their cells and supported by 150 weekly classes in 87 prisons in the UK and Ireland. The PPT encourages them with correspondence, free resource books, CDs, and quarterly newsletters, and also works with prison staff and officers in 20 weekly classes.
Cataracts are the worlds leading cause of blindness, some 20 million people are blind as a result. Cataracts cannot be prevented, but can be treated simply and cheaply. Great causes seeks to help as many people as possible through the generosity of it friends and business colleagues.

The Bravo Trust is an avenue for adults with learning difficulties to perform in and run their own theatre group learning about the many facets of theatre life. Its work looks to enhance the personal and social qualities of its participants and eventually provide work opportunities in theatre.
The Albert Hall is a community owned theatre in Llandrindod Wells, run by volunteers. We rely on donations to ensure the building will be fit for purpose for years and generations to come.
We offer girls aged 10-14 the chance to develop in a safe and comfortable environment. We offer activities such as crafts, swimming and hiking. Best of all, we offer them the chance to go away as a Unit.
Sam (AKA The Cheese Man) was passionate about basketball, having fun and life in general. His ability to communicate with everyone he met, with inspiration, confidence and self assurance was legend. Sam did not have any charity affiliation just helped anyone who asked which is what he was doing when he had his fatal accident. Through Basketball we hope to pass on Sams spirit to any one in full time education, develope those social skills and integration into society.

What many people don't realise is that most 'accidents' are both predictable and preventable. SMARTRISK's primary objective is therefore to introduce young people to the notion of smart risk-taking behaviour.

The Towersey Foundation is a unique charity providing music therapy in palliative care for people living with life-threatening illnesses. The use of music therapy in palliative care is a comparatively new and specialised field. Professionals working in hospices and special schools are increasingly appreciating what a powerful tool it is in the total care of their patients.
