(UK, 293855) Browse eventsSince 1978 LOAF Project has raised over £500,000 for projects around the world. This year we are aiming to raise £15000 to help keep girls of the Minembwe Plateau, DRC in school by supplying 450 hygiene packs free. These include 4 pretty easy-wash fabric towelettes, Waterproof panties and liners, Soap and deodorant to freshen up. These are sustainable and last 4 years.Trying their best… many girls use leaves; some manage to make towels out of unhygienic paper or old rags, and there’s a lack of hot showers, which together can lead to infections, taking away their rights to hygiene and health. And they don’t have the money to pay for the badly needed medical care. Many charities donate supplies to the DRC, but not the never spoken-of, badly needed sanitary products – hard to find and too costly for local girls. Make Our Vision Your Vision…Loaf FREEDOM Project aims to support and give DRC girls the future they deserve, by giving them the FREEDOM to:✔ Get affordable feminine care✔ Stay healthy and happy✔ Be respected and valued✔ Have a good, safe education✔ Support their families✔ Grow up with confidence✔ Earn a good living for life.
