The Braunstone Foundation exists to provide help and support to the residents of Braunstone in Leicester and continue a legacy of regeneration and improvement. This Foundation act as a Community Anchor for Braunstone and aims to deliver quality services to all sectors of the community including; individuals, groups, and businesses. We have set up this fundraising page as The Braunstone Foundation are trying to raise funds for their Growing Project, which started with very humble roots two years ago, using local green spaces and gardens to grow fresh produce. After winning an RHS neighbourhood award, a Farmer in neighbouring Blaby District kindly donated farmland to support this project. Over the last year, the project has grown and they now run a volunteer scheme at the Farm. The scheme supports volunteers to plant vegetable crops to supplement The Braunstone Foundation’s Foodshare (which struggles to have enough food to meet demand), it also means that they have fresh veg available for families who are struggling or who are in crisis.

Thank you for visiting the Virgin Giving page for Old Basing Scouts which is a registered Charity to support Scouting in Old Basing and surrounding villages. We run 2 x Beaver Scouts colonies, 2 x Cub Scout packs, 1x Scouts Troop providing weekly meetings for excess of 140 youngsters. Currently we are without anywhere for these youngsters to meet every week following our headquarters being flooded in 2007 and the building being condemned. Currently we have to find facilities on a weekly basis to meet, from church halls to school halls and this is obviously not ideal. We need your support to replace the original 50 year old condemned Scout HQ with a new purpose built facility for the Scouts and Guides to call their home. To bring this to reality we need to raise in excess of £250,000 so that we can start the demolition of the existing facility and replace it with a new facility to last at least the next 50 years. Your help with this would be very much appreciated and any donations that you are able to give through Virgin Giving will be very much appreciated. If you would like to know more about this project or can offer assistance or help to bring this to reality we would love to hear from you so please drop us an email at - [email protected]

Our vision is to work together to bring justice, dignity and the end of exploitation globally. Chab Dai was started by a UK national in Cambodia in 2005. The name Chab Dai means “joining hands” in the Khmer language and we've developed local partnerships and competency within the anti-trafficking movement within Cambodia. The organisation is committed to working with diverse stakeholders to abolish all forms of abuse and exploitation. Chab Dai's UK charity promotes best practice through the Global Learning Community project by applying the experience gained from working in Cambodia and undertaking international research. Global Learning Community works with partners to raise the standards of care for vulnerable populations and survivors of trafficking and exploitation. We do this through fostering greater collaboration and knowledge sharing between multi-sector stakeholders as well as building the capacity of anti-trafficking charities through advisory and resourcing support services. Our goal is to learn from one another and to become a more connected and competent global community.

We give signposting support including a newly formed CAP Job Club to help clients resolve some of their medium term problems. We are having a lot of operational and food sourcing issues with the Corona virus pandemic so your support is even more vital and much appreciated
