His Church Charity provide solutions for residual stock (food, clothes and supplies) and in doing so are able to meet the needs of the underprivileged and vulnerable, not just in the UK but many countries worldwide. We partner with most major supermarkets and food manufacturers in the UK and support over 2,000 charities. We have a full fleet of vehicles, from vans to articulated lorries, enabling us to collect and distribute any size of donation. Recently we began to collect, store and re-distribute chilled and frozen food which would have otherwise gone to waste, making a huge difference to local families and individuals who would have otherwise struggled to make ends meet. One of our diverse projects, ‘Team Up to be Champions, School Breakfasts for Winners’, was delivered from Football Clubs across the Nation. Schools were invited to collect free breakfast cereal while children were encouraged to take part in sporting activities and celebrate like their heroes on top of the ‘Team Up’ bus. Our work with Football Clubs continues, from providing for community gardening and cooking projects, to refreshments for soccer schools, or even providing our buses for events such as World Refugee Day or celebrating Lincoln City FC’s promotion!Since 2006 we have been working with the Government in Liberia, West Africa to help re-build the nation following the effects of the Civil War and more recently the Ebola crisis. In line with our ‘Team up to be Champions’ project, we are supporting the Government’s efforts to encourage children to attend school and participate in sport. For more information please watch our introductory film:- https://www.dropbox.com/s/0by9vzadmn0bf9m/Short%20Film%202017_2.mp4?dl=0Thank you for supporting us! The National Forest is one of the country's boldest environmental projects, transforming 200 square miles in the centre of England. The idea for The National Forest launched over 30 years ago when local communities across the Midlands made the case for a new national forest to be created in their area. Incredibly passionate people living in the Leicestershire and South Derbyshire coalfields area campaigned hard and won the fight to establish The National Forest in the Heart of England where the landscape had been ravaged by coal and minerals extraction. This has been a positive story of regeneration with landowners, farmers, businesses and local communities support more than 8.5 million trees have been planted. The aim is to achieve forest cover of approximately 30% across the 200 square miles. This is a massive target when you consider that when it started some areas had as little as 2%, current cover is now at 20%. The PTA of Hampden Gurney primary school has to actively raise about £30,000 each year to support non-core activities - please help Hampden Gurney to reach their goal!! Hampden Gurney Primary School is facing unprecedented government funding cuts and many non-core activities cannot be funded within their budget. Music and art lessons; the library, both its books and its staffing; student bursaries for clubs and trips; swimming lessons; trips; workshops; sports equipment and up to date IT equipment are not covered by the School's budget and are often paid for either partially or in full by the PTA … without the PTA, there would be no extras….the school would only be able to afford the basics, and good as they are, this would leave a dull and one dimensional education. So… Please help us to ensure that all of these extras are part of our children's day to day school lives. Charity No: 1101423
