(UK, 1121596) Browse eventsExeter City Football in the Community Charity works in collaborative partnerships to deliver physical activity, health and wellbeing and educational services and experiences for people of all ages and abilities throughout Devon. The charity operates in four main areas: education, social inclusion, health and sports participation and engages more than 50,000 children, young people and adults per year in programmes within these areas. The charity provides more than 4,500 holiday club places and 6,000 after-school club places and more than 3,300 sessions for people with learning difficulties as part of the Ability Counts programme. More than 1,000 players take part in street soccer and there is a full cohort of girls training at the Devon FA player development centre. Football in the Community also delivers external educational programmes, such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and a fully accredited Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport. The charity works in partnership with many external bodies, such as Devon County Council, Exeter College, Devon and Cornwall Constabulary, Lloyds TSB and Exeter City Council.
