Their scientists, doctors, nurses, volunteers and supporters are united in putting an end to this devastating disease. A on-of-a-kind building in the heart of Portishead for the whole community to enjoy. After a one million pound redevelopment, Portishead Youth Centre is a community centre by day and a youth club by night. The Portishead Youth Centre was officially opened on Saturday May 21st 1966 at a total cost of £18,000 and within a year the centre was expanded further in 1967 to include an all weather play area and an arts room. The Youth Centre was leased by North Somerset Council to a voluntary committee who manage the centre on behalf of the town of Portishead. This has all changed though. North Somerset Council removed funding for youth work and youth clubs from April 2012. With changes to funding, Portishead Youth Centre is moving towards using the amazing facilities to the full with support from the local community.

We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination. The service aims to provide the advice people need for the problems they face, and to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives. We have been providing a free advice and information service to the residents of Lichfield District for over 40 years. We have offices in Burntwood and Lichfield and go out to provide services in the community (currently at the Jigsaw shop in north Lichfield, Westgate GP surgery, HMP HMYOI Swinfen Hall and in Fazeley). Our sterling team of volunteers provide the invaluable advice and information that people need with some also helping paid caseworkers to provide support to clients with more complex problems. Our administration volunteers provide much needed support to everyone in the Bureau.  ••••Providing the right environment for our clients and the people who help them is important. Therefore, we wish to raise funds to ensure that our offices are kept in good decorative order and that our team have suitable furniture and IT to help them in their work.•••• Please help us by making a donation. Nancholi Youth Organisation (NAYO) carries out community based development programs, working with young and vulnerable people in the Nancholi area in Southern Malawi. NAYO focuses its efforts on the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS. NAYO runs a range of projects related to HIV/AIDS, environmental protection, care for orphans and vulnerable children, home-based nursing and palliative care, and sustainable income generating activities. One of NAYO's areas of focus is community public health. NAYO provides people with free and eaisly accessable HIV/AIDS antiretroviral drugs, as well as nutritional support where necessary. NAYO currently runs two free nurse led clinics: an HIV/AIDS clinic and a child health clinic. Another key focus of NAYO is the education and capacity building of young people in the community. NAYO runs a free health service center for young people, and supports young people through their education and youth work. This fundraising page is organised by NAYO International, Nancholi Youth Organisation's international fundraising partner organisation based in the UK.
