Established by Granby Community Mental Health Group in 1991. Mary Seacole House has maintained a track record of delivering services for over 25 years. Mary Seacole House is a place where people with diverse social and cultural backgrounds can come together in a non-oppressive environment. Staff offer support, advice and guidance in both practical and emotional matters as well as offering a wide range of social activities, projects and training. The organisation endeavours to address the needs of culturally diverse communities within Merseyside providing a community based service, which supports and enables people to challenge inappropriate practices and treatment within the mental health system.

We work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats of all ages, from tiny abandoned kittens to older cats who deserve a second chance at a loving home. Our mission is simple: to reduce the number of unwanted cats while ensuring every cat in our care receives the compassion, medical attention, and patience they need to thrive. Many of the cats that come to us have experienced neglect, injury, or difficult circumstances. Through a network of committed foster carers, we provide safe, nurturing environments where they can recover and rebuild trust at their own pace. We believe in responsible rehoming and take great care to match each cat with the right family and environment. This thoughtful approach helps ensure long-term, happy placements for both cats and adopters. Alongside rehoming, we actively promote neutering and education to help prevent the cycle of unwanted litters. As a charity run entirely by volunteers, we rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of our community. Donations, supplies, and support make everything we do possible. Every contribution helps us continue rescuing cats in need and giving them the second chance they deserve. At Byfleet Cat Rescue, every life matters, and every cat’s story is worth rewriting.
