We define sexual violation as any non-consensual or unwanted act of sexualised violence, coercion, manipulation or abuse - this includes childhood sexual abuse, adult sexual assault and rape. We want to see a world where no one is silenced by sexual violence We focus on working with men because research estimates that 1-in-9 men have suffered childhood sexual abuse, and 1-in-29 men have experienced sexual violence as an adult. This equates to nearly 4 million men across the UK. We work with men but care about everyone We see sexual abuse as a community issue and it is only by working together we can tackle the problems that allows sexual abuse to persist. A contribution to Mankind will enable us to continue to provide therapeutic services to men and also develop community based resources that will empower us all to take action against abuse.
