Our mission as the Kilmorie PTA is to support and advance the education and wellbeing of pupils in the school by: - Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school - engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which supports the school and advance the education of the pupils. We achieve the above by providing pupils with engaging experiences which support their learning and increase their cultural capital; initiating community activities which bring staff, parents and the wider school community together; and providing facilities and/or equipment which support the school and enhance pupil wellbeing. We are planning a variety of events in 2021, as well as supporting the school in fundraising for specific outdoor projects. While social distancing measures and prohibitions on large gatherings remain in place, the Friends will continue to find alternative ways of bringing the Kilmorie school community together and raising additional funds for the school. We specialise in helping the most difficult cases and those in dire situations with little hope of help from elsewhere. Thank you for for supporting us. We are using BT MyDonate as our online fundraising platform. If you would like to do a fundraising event to raise vital funds you can set everything up here and all funds come directly to us. Animal abuse and neglect is sadly widespread in Macedonia. Stray dogs and cats can be found in every village, every town, every city. Sadly they are subjected to the worst kinds of animal abuse - we have found dogs that have been tortured, poisoned, hung, bludgeoned, shot, stabbed, raped, purposely run over, dragged behind cars. Cats and kittens die on the streets from disease; many kittens are blind due to untreated eye infections. Cats are often used in dogfighting. They are born into a never ending cycle of suffering and neglect. Horse and donkeys are subjected to a life of misery and suffering; used and abused until they collapse; abandoned at the side of the road because they are no longer of any use.Saving Macedonian Strays (SMS) was set up by a number of animal lovers in the UK to help a group of young people in Macedonia who dedicate their lives to helping animals in need. The young people are Animals’ Voice Macedonia and they live in Veles, MK. We are a voluntary organisation and rely solely on the help and generosity of our supporters. Our aim is to put a stop to the neglect and abuse of animals in Macedonia. SMS became a UK registered charity on 4th November 16. Charity No: 1170041

During his free time he would always venture up into the nearby Pyrenees Mountains and partake in his passion for skiing. It was here that he began to realise how very fortunate he was to be so fit and healthy and to be able to enjoy the sheer beauty and the therapeutic values that the mountains could offer him as here any problems or worries always seemed to vanish into insignificance.
