(UK, 1134596) Browse eventsCoventry Spirit (Radio) is the charity that supports Radio Plus 101.5FM, a community radio station that targets a 16-35 audience across Coventry and the surrounding areas with a vibrant and relevant voice on behalf of the city’s churches. We currently reach 20,000 listeners per month in this age range. Radio Plus offers a voice to particularly marginalised groups across Coventry, which would rarely otherwise get local media coverage, including asylum seekers and refugees. We work with our stakeholders to encourage healthy and positive lifestyle choices and to signpost individuals towards services that can help overcome addictions and life-limitations. Radio Plus provides a platform to showcase local musical talent in Coventry, with access to a “Live Room” to allow local bands to perform a “Live Room Session.” Radio Plus also works in partnership with local agencies that support young people to provide “Training the Trainers” media courses, resulting in the creation of Radio Plus community reporters who provide content for the station.
