People were watching, yet no one was doing anything to stop the violence. Lucinda and the Philisa Abafazi Bethu project aims to be the person that others can rely on for protection and reassurance in the community of Lavender Hill. As of now, Lucinda is attempting this with little help. The money that she and her team pour into the organization is quickly used. Lucinda and TEAM P.A.B will stop at nothing to make sure that the women of Lavender Hill have a place that offers them hope in their often intolerable situations.

As a hockey club we also believe it is important to increase youth sports here in Birmingham (Handsworth), hence the development of our large Youths Section which involves circa 50 girls and boys. And that number is growing every year. The success and growth of our club has put considerable pressure on the Club's resources and thus we need to raise funds to maintain our position in the hockey circles and continue to serve the local community. We are thus raising funds to enhance the offering, especially for the youth and the ladies section.
