Wendy's Wish (UK, 1175368) Browse events

YTD Raised: £25.00

Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. Wendy’s Wish  is a family run charity that started in memory of Wendy Reed, who died on 6th January 2017, 5 years after being diagnosed with “ocular melanoma” (a type of eye cancer). When someone has cancer, the effects reach far beyond the patient and our family motto has always been “we’re all in this together”. As a family, we set up the charity to raise money for the Eye Tumour Research Fund and to help cancer patients and their families, at the same time as raising the profile of all forms of eye cancer. Please donate to support our cause. Thank you. Charity No: 1175368 Find out more Website Please click here to visit our website Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Wendys-Wish-435892196750200/

YTD Raised: £25.00

The Community Sports Foundation (TCSF) seeks to work within communities in England to improve access to sport for children and young adults, regardless of their background, ability, ethnicity, gender, creed or colour. We look to use the power and excitement of sport to break down many of the barriers which exist within communities, impacting on issues such as youth crime, anti social behaviour and rising obesity levels. Our objective is to run free to access afterschool clubs, holiday camps and other events that provide stimulation and activity for children and young adults who may not normally have access to such services. One of the Foundations core objectives is to develop sporting activities and provisions for members of the community who suffer from learning and physical disabilities. This requires highly skilled coaches whose cost and availability often makes them simply out of reach for many sufferers to access. With your support we can create an equal playing field and deploy the skills of over 200 fully qualified coaches across the South of England so that every child, young adult and community has access to high quality and engaging activities. On behalf of everyone at The Community Sports Foundation thank you for your support.

2021 signifies one of the biggest milestones for both Langley Prep School at Taverham Hall and the British Heart Foundation. The school will officially reach its 100th year in education in September 2021, whilst the BHF will be marking their 60th birthday this year. Having regularly raised funds for the BHF and worked together on a number of fronts, it felt very fitting to join forces at such a special time. As such, we are looking to raise funds for the BHF’s tireless work to improve treatment and care for people affected by heart and circulatory disease as well as for a special 100th year celebrations school fund to support bursary provision and further improvement of facilities throughout the school. All proceeds raised via this Just Giving page will be shared equally between both. We warmly invite you to support the BHF and the school at this very special time.
