(UK, 1026499) Browse eventsWe are a friendly group of volunteer parents and carers of deaf children in Trafford. We organise regular activities for deaf children and their families. We meet to chat through issues, offer support, gain tips and to give the children an opportunity to socialise with their hearing impaired peers which they may not get much chance to do in a mainstream school. We also organise a range of events throughout the year including sporting activities, arts and crafts, theatre trips, horse riding and parties! Often free of charge or nominal fees, these events really allow the children time to interact with each other whilst doing fun activities. We are constantly fundraising either by taking part in sponsored runs, bake sales or applying for community funding to allow us to put on a range of interesting events.

(UK, SCO28660) Browse eventsThank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. HopScotch is a long established charity providing free respite breaks for vulnerable children living in Scotland who have no other chance of a holiday. Our annual programme runs from March to October and each year we provide 350 children with a truly memorable break at Ardvullin our beautiful respite Centre in the West Highlands. During their stay at Ardvullin children take part in a range of fun and exciting activities including horse riding, canoeing, boat trips, and visits to the beach and the sea life centre, indoor climbing and biking. These activities help to build children's confidence, self-esteem and develop their full potential. We work with schools, young carers organisations, women’s aid groups, health charities and community groups to identify children most in need. The majority of children who benefit from a HopScotch break have never experienced a break away from their home area and many have never been to the countryside or even visited a beach. We firmly believe that good childhood memories last a lifetime. Please donate to support our cause. Since 1998 HopScotch has provided over 5000 children with life enhancing respite breaks and unforgettable childhood memories. We are a small team dedicated to providing children with an amazing HopScotch experience and ensuring that every penny raised for our cause goes directly to providing children with a respite break. We would really appreciate your support.
