Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT) exists to provide Musical and Artistic opportunities for the Children and Young People of Northamptonshire. Created out of the former Local Authority Music Service, NMPAT is an independent Charitable Company dedicated to preserving the heritage and breadth of the Northamptonshire Music Service. NMPAT operates 15 area Music Centres and over 30 central County Ensembles and delivers an tuition to nearly every school in the County. More than 15 000 children a year engage in an NMPAT activity. Its senior ensembles have a proud reputation for the quality of their performance and have performed at concerts and festivals throughout the Country and most of Europe. In May 2012 NMPAT was appointed the lead partner of the new Music Education Hub and will work with other local Music and Arts organisations to deliver the promises of the government's National Music Plan. Oswestry Community Action, otherwise known as Qube, is a registered charity based in Oswestry. Its aim is to improve the quality of life for people in Oswestry through the provision of Education and Learning, Community Transport Services, a Volunteer Centre, Arts and Culture, Shopmobility and Care Services. Qube also has a community building with facilities which include a purpose built contemporary art gallery, IT Centre and meeting/activity rooms. The ethos of Qube is access to services for all. Our services have been developed over time in response to local need such as rural poverty and lack of opportunities, particularly in education and poor public transport provision. The majority of our services are aimed at those who are disadvantaged which includes disability, health including mental health, unemployment and rural poverty and isolation.

Riversiders Trust run leisure activities and sports clubs for people with learning disabilities where they can meet in a happy, relaxed, safe and non-threatening environment, enjoy social interaction, engage both in individual hobbies and shared activities, develop further life skills and participate as widely as possible in community life and activities. The club members are encouraged to develop their life skills by taking responsibility for running club activities as much as possible themselves. There are currently 3 social clubs; Steps for children aged 11-19, Riversiders for adults and 18-30 club to bridge the gap between Steps and Riversiders. There is also a football group and a multi sports group held at the local leisure centre. The Riversiders Trust would ideally like to see a community in which all people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included. We want everyone to have the opportunity to achieve the things they want from life.
