Chalkdown Riding for the Disabled provides therapeutic riding sessions for children and adults with physical and learning disabilities. The Group is run entirely by volunteers and our wonderful RDA ponies give riders a feeling of freedom and help to boost confidence, strength and coordination. We are passionate about what we do and with your help we can enrich the lives of our very special riders.
Primarily, we rescue dogs from kennels that are in danger of being euthanised after serving their 7 days. We also take on strays that are ill or injured whose illness or injuries have surpassed the local authorities "ceiling" for treatment & would therefore be euthanised.

Coventry Spirit (Radio) is the charity that supports Radio Plus 101.5FM, a community radio station that targets a 16-35 audience across Coventry and the surrounding areas with a vibrant and relevant voice on behalf of the city’s churches. We currently reach 20,000 listeners per month in this age range. Radio Plus offers a voice to particularly marginalised groups across Coventry, which would rarely otherwise get local media coverage, including asylum seekers and refugees. We work with our stakeholders to encourage healthy and positive lifestyle choices and to signpost individuals towards services that can help overcome addictions and life-limitations. Radio Plus provides a platform to showcase local musical talent in Coventry, with access to a “Live Room” to allow local bands to perform a “Live Room Session.” Radio Plus also works in partnership with local agencies that support young people to provide “Training the Trainers” media courses, resulting in the creation of Radio Plus community reporters who provide content for the station.

We have over 16000 unpaid carers on the Isle of Wight. Often supporting others with over 50 hours of care each week. These carers are husbands, wives, children, siblings, or friends. They receive little help from anyone else and ask for so little. Please help us offer them more support, thank you.

Home-Start Maidstone supports young families in their own home in situations as diverse as isolation, bereavement, multiple births, child behaviour, disability or who are just finding parenting a struggle. Volunteers who are trained and CRB checked provide non-judgemental practical and emotional support and help build the family’s confidence and ability to cope.
