We are working hard to construct a model of service provision that is built on principles of a ‘person-centred approach’; that sees services not as ‘charity’ but as a social investment in realizing the potential of people with disabilities.  To learn more about the work of Fighting Chance, please visit our website: http://www.fightingchance.org.au

Running for Shoes (CityLife) (AU, 89277942075) Browse events

YTD Raised: $0.00

The goal of Running for Shoes is to put shoes on village and impoverished children. It is our vision to enable as many of these children as possible to walk to school and live life in general with shoes on their feet. In 2013, we focussed on children in India and raised enough money to purchase shoes for 8,000 children. Our partners in India have told us stories of happiness as children receive their first ever pair of shoes and their amazement that people in Australia are running for them. It is not just these children who are astounded but their parents are brought to tears as their children receive these shoes. In 2014, we focussed on children in Ethiopia and in November 2015 a team from Australia will be travelling to our partner in Ethiopia to be a part of purchasing and distributing shoes to children there! This year, Running for Shoes will add children from one more region to our cause... Cambodia! Join us in running for shoes, supporting children in Cambodia! Check out our Facebook page  for the most current information on how you can become a part of Running for Shoes!
