Oaktree is young people leading a movement to end poverty. Extreme poverty  has already been halved and together we can end it. Breaking it down, Oaktree works in three ways. One, we raise awareness  about extreme poverty in Australia, because movements need widespread  public support. This is our social impact. Two, we fundraise to work with  local organisations that directly tackle poverty overseas. And three, we  influence policy change by ensuring Australia's leaders take action to end  poverty. For us, change starts with a simple belief - that extreme poverty is  unacceptable. Beliefs turn into action, and enough informed action will end  extreme poverty in our lifetime. Hamerkaz Shelanu Inc is a non-profit Jewish educational and community organization, that works in partnership with our Lamdeni Hebrew after-school program. Hamerkaz Shelanu is committed to providing ongoing excellent educational and youth programs and strives to assist young adults, families and the welfare of our community. Hamerkaz Shelanu was established in 1998, under the guidance of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, to fill a void in Victoria’s Israeli and Jewish community. Our vision is to create a deeper sense of identity, community and belonging for families, with a particular focus on the youth. Hamerkaz Shelanu is filled with a Jewish soul and an Israeli spirit. At Hamerkaz Shelanu, people of all walks of life and degrees of observance are welcome to turn to at any time - to celebrate, to learn, to socialise, to connect. For some it’s a social centre, to others an amazing holiday program and teen camp. For some it’s the “Israeli shule” or cultural library, to others their child’s Hebrew school (Lamdeni). For some it’s a memorable Bat-Mitzvah program and adult education centre, to others a place to celebrate a chag (festival) together. But, above all, for the hundreds of families entering its doors every week, it’s a home... Or in the words of a family who both tragically lost a child and celebrated a bar mitzvah with Hamerkaz Shelanu within the same year: “It is a support in time of need and a fountain in times of joy”. Hamerkaz Shelanu is dedicated to Jewish unity and continuity and to the welfare of the community. Our facilities are no longer adequate for our growing educational and community needs.     Our Transport Services Team includes more than 100 volunteer drivers who help provide transport to the frail aged and people with disabilities so they can attend community, recreational and medical appointments. This service supports positive health outcomes and helps reduce social isolation. In 2012/13 volunteer drivers delivered 24,000 trips and travelled over 285,000 kms. With your support and participation, Eastern Volunteers will continue to deliver high quality accessible services and develop new approaches to volunteering that will incorporate the disadvantaged  members of our community. Our plans include projects for people with a disability, culturally and linguistically diverse groups and youth. Eastern Volunteers will also aim to expand the reach and breadth of the transport services.

It moved to its present site in the Hobart CBD in 1820. RHH is Tasmania’s largest hospital and its major referral centre. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, it works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. Southern Tasmania Area Health Servives (STAHS) links hospital and community health services so our patients and clients get smooth, efficient and effective healthcare that best meets their needs. STAHS works closely with GPs and other health and social care providers across southern Tasmania to deliver coordinated care in the most suitable setting. "STAHS is dedicated to improving community health and wellbeing, and strengthening community care in southern Tasmania" STAHS brings together primary care facilities at New Norfolk, Ouse, Oatlands, Triabunna, Bruny Island, Bicheno and the Clarence Community Health Centre with the Royal Hobart Hospital and its annexes at St John’s Park and the Repat Centre.

Melaleuca Refugee Centre is a community–controlled, not–for–profit association operating out of Darwin. The association was first established in 1996 to cater for refugees and asylum seekers wanting to settle in the Northern Territory. In 2002 it expanded and now provides an environment for resettlement and healing of refugee survivors of torture and trauma, their families and community through confidential, high-quality and holistic services. Every year Melaleuca, in conjunction with the Refugee Council of Australia organises a World Refugee Day Festival for World Refugee Week. This year the event will be held on the 14th of June. The event aims to highlight the importance of refugee issues and celebrate the resilience, talents and achievements of people with refugee background in the Northern Territory. World Refugee Day is a chance to draw attention to refugee issues, to promote respect towards the refugee population, and most of all to celebrate the many amazing contributions that the refugee community make to Australian society. World Refugee Day showcases and celebrates some of these contributions, through incredible performances, inspiring workshops, crafts, food and a multicultural soccer competition. The event is a key activity in building relationships between people form refugee background and the broader community and promoting respect and understanding.  Each year the event relies on external funds to make the day a success. These funds go toward paying performers, running workshops, coordinating food and stalls, equipment, promotion and marketing. Through GoFundraise we hope to raise $15,000.
