It is part of the Sydney South Western Area Health Service and is based in Balmain Hospital.   Exercise is STRONG Medicine The last twenty years has seen a wealth of research into exercise as a treatment for many diseases and the process of ageing. The Centre for Strong Medicine is an attempt to integrate that body of scientific work into the mainstream management of disease with a particular focus on the elderly. It has been developed and refined as a model over the last seven years with the following mission.

Harri is recovering from an ABI (acquired brain injury) he suffered in 2001. He was bitten by a mosquito and contracted a virus, Murray Valley Encephalitis, which caused his brain to swell, as a result he is now a quadriplegic. The result is similar to cerebral palsy. Harri suffers from epilepsy and is also unable to speak. We hope to find a treatment that will aid in his recovery.
