The primary objective of Wildlife Asia is the protection and enhancement of the natural habitat of orangutans, gibbons, Asian rhinos, bears and other Asian wildlife.   Wildlife Asia is a not for profit association raising funds in Australia to increase conservation contribution, capacity and efficiency for wildlife conservation.   Wildlife Asia and its field programs are active, throughout South East Asia in: habitat protection (in particular tropical rainforest), wildlife conservation (in particular Orangutan, Rhino, Bear and Gibbon), and sustainable development for local communities.   Your kind donation will help us in our goal to preserve, protect and save bears all around the world.   For example: Rescued 806 bears from the dancing bear industry in India and bile farms in Southeast Asia.  Provided seed money for more than 500 former dancing bearfamilies to set up new sustainable livelihoods. Please help us to support the bears in Asia and to continue to free the bears. Our responsibility to each bear does not end with their rescue. One of the Fund’s largest ongoing expenses is ensuring that each bear receives the very best care and attention available in our sanctuaries. Funding and facilitating conservation and rehabilitation projects Preservation and reservation of areas of natural habitat with the aim of conserving bio-diversity Encouraging harmonious and respectful animal-human relationships by facilitating profitable and sustainable alternatives to the illegal wildlife trade. Empowering indigenous people and communities through training initiatives which enable indigenous communities to support themselves in a sustainable manner through responsible custodianship of the bear and its environment. Providing information, fostering awareness, and facilitating education with regard to threats facing the global bear population Providing international support and sponsorship for individuals involved with the preservation and conservation of bears Supporting the instigation of new, the review of existing, and the enforcement of appropriate, wildlife legislation to prevent extortion of rare and endangered species as a result of the illegal wildlife trade Funding and creation of new sanctuaries as required and continual maintenance of existing bear sanctuaries and the physical and mental wellbeing of their occupants Yes. Animals Australia is the only national animal protection organisation that actively exposes animal abuse and promotes a cruelty-free lifestyle. We are Australia’s second largest and most dynamic national animal protection organisation, representing some 40 member societies and thousands of individual supporters. Animals Australia has an unprecedented track record in investigating and exposing animal cruelty. In the past four years our work has resulted in four 60 Minutes segments exposing the cruelty in the live export trade and further segments highlighting animal cruelty on Today Tonight, Four Corners and Landline. Investigations in the Middle East have resulted in the first ever suspension of the live export trade (to Egypt) and to a benchmark prosecution of a live export company for cruelty. Animals Australia believes that we can create a better world for all through promoting kindness to animals. Our goal is to significantly and permanently improve the welfare of all animals in Australia. We are committed and unrelenting. We expose suffering, we educate the broader community, we research alternatives and we passionately and intelligently lobby governments to effect changes in laws to protect all animals. We have representation on all major state and national animal welfare committees. We are a non-profit charitable organisation financed through community support. Our important work on behalf of animals is reliant on the generosity of our members and donors.
