Sydney Harbour Conservancy supports the work of the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust, a self-funding Australian government agency, created in 2001, to be the steward over eight former Defence and special Commonwealth lands around Sydney Harbour. We clean contaminated areas, rehabilitate bushland, preserve heritage buildings and open sites for everyone to enjoy. Our investment areas are conservation of both natural and built environment, preservation of historical and other collections and access to innovative public and cultural programs. As a not-for-profit operation we seek support to enable us to leave a lasting legacy for Sydney and the people of Australia.

40 marathons in 40 days around Hobart Tasmania to raise much needed funds to provide clean and accessible drinking water to people in the Simien Mountains, Ethiopia. Our fellow humans live in the mountains twice as high as Mount Wellington and live well below any poverty line - helping them build wells in their villages brings health, education and an avenue to escape poverty. ALL moneys go DIRECTLY to the water for a village project and we personally fund any overheads.

With a mission to inspire the appreciation and conservation of plants, the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust is a centre of excellence in scientific research, sustainable horticulture, conservation and community engagement. Trust scientists research and conserve species against the global threats to plant biodiversity, educators inspire young people to understand the importance of plants for human survival, and horticulturists tend to the incredible diversity of plant-scapes at the Trust’s three Gardens -the Royal Botanic Garden and Domain in Sydney, the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden at Mount Tomah and the Australian Botanic Garden at Mount Annan. Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens is an independent not-for-profit organisation that works to support the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust through raising funds and community awareness of the Trust’s work. With 50% of all funding coming from non-government sources, increasingly the Trust must rely on generating income through donations and community support. All funds raised through Everyday Hero will be managed by Foundation & Friends. 100% of funds will go to the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust to help continue its vital work.
